We've just completed our @iperion_hs #molab analysis of the Hunt Frieze on the tomb of King Philip II- father of Alexander the Great- in Vergina, Greece. Here, we conducted remote Raman analysis through the protective glass, while the museum remained open to visitors😀
It's been a busy summer! ISAAC #molab has visited @nasjonalmuseet in Oslo to investigate acrylic varnish removal on paintings & analysed enamels @britishmuseum. We're now in Greece partnering with @EIEgr to conduct non-invasive imaging & analysis on several archaeological sites😍
We're in Munich for the #O3A conference Optics for Art, Architecture, and Archaeology! Well done to PhD students Jake and Amelia for their fantastic presentations 👏
📢A new @librarycongress blog post discusses the curatorial and preservation perspective of our recent #molab visit as part of the International @ahrcpress and @NEHgov funded Lima to Canton #heritageresearch project. Read more 👇

In the Waddesdon Bequest, gallery 2a @britishmuseum, Rebecca, our Cultural Heritage Research peak funded PhD student, is using our SWIR hyperspectral imaging system to analyse Limoges enamels directly through the glass display case.
Our hybrid OCT & Microscopic Hyperspectral Imaging system, developed during an @ahrcpress Collaborative Doctoral Project with @NationalGallery, providing layer by layer identification of varnish and glaze on a painting. @NTUResearch @IconPaintings @NTUPVCI @HertSci_UK @ErihsEu
The roll has arrived! For the first time the mobile lab can stay at home. The Roll Chronicle, a 15th century genealogical roll in the collection of the Society of Antiquaries of London, is over 12m long and presents unique challenges for high resolution imaging. @ntu_research
We're very excited today awaiting the arrival of the Roll Chronicle! In a pioneering new study, researchers at NTU will examine, digitise and analyse this precious genealogical roll dating to the Wars of the Roses. sal.org.uk/collections/explo…
