🇵🇱 Great to give an invited talk at the University of Poznań @UAM_Poznan! Many thanks for the invitation, warm welcome, and inspiring scientific discussions. Always a pleasure to share ideas and connect through science! 🧬🔬
A lovely afternoon with a wonderful senior group in Třeboň, people who remember when our rivers and oceans were full of fish. Warm, witty and wonderful company. I left with a big smile… and a beautiful hand-knitted vest. 😅❤️
A lot of ideas, discussions and collaboration went into this one. 🧬🐟. Our new review explores how transcription factor networks orchestrate immune responses in teleosts and how much more there is to uncover beyond the mammalian view frontiersin.org/journals/imm…
So proud of our PhD student for presenting her research topic at the university for the first time! 🐟🧬 Let’s show the world how fish and immune cells can help us uncover fascinating scientific discoveries! 🔬💙
Researchers’ Night was a blast! 🧬🦠 So many curious minds discovering the human immune system - from kids to adults. Amazing questions, lots of fun, and hopefully a few future scientists inspired along the way! 🔬✨
What a meeting! 🇳🇴🐟 ISAAH 2026 in Bodø was full of great science, inspiring people, and unforgettable moments. Already looking forward to bringing everyone together again in 2028 — see you in Budweis! 🇨🇿🙌
Wonderful hosting our collaborators from Japan! 🇯🇵🤝🇨🇿 Great science, great discussions, and a great time together. See you soon in Japan! 🇯🇵✨
Great time at the 2nd EAFP Eastern European Branch Meeting! 🐟 Fantastic talks, great science, and a very inspiring workshop. Huge congratulations to our postdoc @George45k177693 for winning the Best Lecture Award! 🏆👏 Proud of the team!
Our latest collaboration is out! Tiny fish, big questions: uncovering when SNAD1 genes awaken during development. 🐟🧬

Nothing says "your review was noticed" quite like people writing about it. We're delighted and mildly famous for a day! 🎉

From barley to duckweed 🌱, plants are powerful vaccine platforms! Excited to see our collaboration that duckweed can both produce and deliver oral vaccine antigens against CyHV-3, opening new possibilities for sustainable fish vaccination. 🐟

Ever wondered why a fish vaccine saves one cage but fails in the adjacent one? 🐟❌
New research reveals that aquaculture vaccines are operating as a "black box." It’s time to look deeper into water temp, handling stress, and genetics.

Surprised to discover that Thermo Fisher appears to show a fake western blot for the validation of one of their p53 antibodies. I've added a diagram to show the very similar bands. This does not appear to be one of the "published figures", but their own internal data.

Published! 🎉Our long collaborative journey exploring Smolstatin, a cysteine protease inhibitor of the fish parasite Sphaerospora molnari, is now out in Current Research in Microbial Sciences! Many thanks to all co-authors sciencedirect.com/science/ar… @FishProtLab #SphaerosporaMolnari
Fish poxviruses are no longer “rare findings” , they’re emerging players in fish health. Proud to contribute to this review exploring how these hidden viruses are changing the way we see gill and skin disease in aquaculture 🐟🦠
