🚨Monica Lennon has not made the ballot for the Scottish Labour leadership election.
🗳️ Members and affiliate members will choose between Michael Marra and Joe Fagan.
Supporting nominations open at 5pm.
Members will be balloted 28 August - 17 September.
Results 19 September.
Some people have messaged asking why there are so many affiliates, for this contest CLPs are counted in the “affiliate” section along with the Trade Unions and Socialist Societies.
Candidates need three nominations of which two have to be Trade Unions.
🏴🌹
Michael Marra is leading the pack with nominations from 8 MSPs/21 MPs/20 affiliates.
Joe Fagan has comfortably made the ballot with 5 MSPs/6 MPs/14 affiliates.
Monica Lennon is fighting to make the ballot with 11 affiliate nominations, but still short one MSP and one MP.
