Album Review for The Pariah by Muggy (@MuggyATL) So this is an album I was able to have an early listen for. Muggy has shown over the years to be that guy who is going to hit you with more bars than most of your favorite punchline rappers. The pocket that he’s able to get into really does allow him to showcase his talent and this album is an example of that. The Pariah is one of those albums where you have to just go for the ride. There’s nothing overly complicated about it. It’s just good raps. Realistically, that’s really all you need. With just a few features, Muggy continues to just carry his own work and doesn’t rely on long hooks or adlibs to carry him through his tracks. 21 minutes of straight raps is what you get here. The production is quaint and simplistic and straightforward, just like the bars. Definitely some solid drums, and smooth melodies as well. The production is built to enhance the raps rather than it take over the track on its own. If you’re looking for a new artist to listen to and you don’t wanna hear any commercialized bullshit, I recommend checking this out. This is a guy who will provide great raps, solid beats and a cohesive flow. Favorite Tracks: Oxymoron, Free The Wave, Bomb Final Score: 7.8/10
