Alright, I'm ready to go onto another history lesson for you all! This time, it resolves around when a corporate firm wanting to become the biggest name in children's television almost tarnished a legendary children's icon to shreds.
This was... HIT Entertainment vs. Sooty.
And exactly four years and a day later... Alex did it again! If my retweet from yesterday wasn't ironic, I don't know what is.
Survived and raised money for @999WAGS
Thank you to everyone who donated and to the amazing ropes team that kept us safe.
Four years ago today was one of my favourite Alex Lovell moments ever: the moment when she proved that she is a lot braver than you think. If only I had actually seen that in person, then I'd be even more excited!
Glad to have remembered the dayversary, too!
A-maz-ing. Thank you to everyone who took part, organised it and donated.
£11k was raised for @999WAGS 🐾❤️🐾
More AI thumbnail slop from Abbey Home Media's YouTube channel, comparing it to the Fun Sony Factory VHS cover this ChatGPT-generated image is based on.
Whatever AI program this content farm is using… it surely isn’t a good one! I can barely read the text!
And yeah, I see this account as a content farm because it excessively posts AI-generated images. In fact, is this account even human monitored?
If you've seen on my YouTube channel, I've been following the whole thing of a Bristol-based animation studio acquiring the assets of defunct company Abbey Home Media, and the official YouTube channel being reactivated, and the studio copyright striking uploads of their content.
This whole situation comes across as fishy, but I honestly think that as I believe they don't hold the Abbey master tapes, if they even still exist, they had no choice. They could have at least uploaded through tapes or something they could own.
Some of their uploads are AI upscaled from DVD prints, some being reuploads from my Humble Cartoon Archive account with no changes at all (even the warning screens remaining as is).
The upload is also in 360p, not 480p as it should be. This goes to show that all the animation studio did was take another upload and repurpose it themselves. I actually think they don't even hold any master tapes of Abbey's content and resort to other people's uploads.
But as expected and ironically, the studio is resorting to AI upscales and AI-generated thumbnails. For comparison, here's what they've done to the third Fun Song Factory tape... resorting to AI slop to style the cover like a cartoon, when it's obviously not human-done.
Finally broke my break from Twitter to say this, but, sadly, even placeholder logos are now AI-generated. It's fooling no one; it's the same art style AI slop cranks out.
Regardless, this show's concept sounds terrible.

So, as the profile says... I'm officially gone from this site. I had a good time, but not everything lasts.
Hello there, due to unforeseen circumstances I am unable to finish the ALO New Year movie on time. I’m going to upload most of what I’ve already made onto the ALO & Friends YouTube channel.
Hope this hadn’t caused any disappointment.
Well, I was preparing a standalone video about Mulhern's AI-generated Christmas video from a few weeks ago, and while I was going through his posts for any real photos... I discovered that this was not the first time he's posted AI-generated content onto his social media pages.
And for New Year's Day last year... there's this.
The thing is, there are plenty of royalty-free videos of birds he could have used, but this is what happens when you can't think of anything else and AI the video.
AI isn't magic, Mulhern!
Have the bestest, greatest 2026, everyone! I'm still keeping my account open until at least the middle of January, and then it will be farewell from me, at least for now.
