Last week of September and first week of October
I was watching John Carpenter movies;
The Thing
The Fog
then the entire Halloween franchise.
The following week, the Carrie franchise.
I had only seen the original but the new
Carrie collaboration with Mike Flannigan was
so good I was inspired to watch them all.
I will have to post separately for the new
Carrie series on Prime.
Last week it's been Friday the 13th franchise.
I will do a post on the new series premiering on Prime starring Linda Cardellini.

The line Corey Feldman says to end the film was not in the original script. Director Joe Dante came up with the line "God, I love this street" during the reshoots after the writer's strike had ended and the final twenty minutes of the film had to be completely reshot and virtually eliminated Feldman's character. Dante broke the news to him and told him to say the line and that it would work out. Feldman admits now that "Dante was right," as it is the line that his fans and fans of the film mention to him when they see him.

Happy 79th birthday to Michael McKean, born on this day in 1947. From Lenny on ‘Laverne & Shirley’ to David St. Hubbins in ‘This Is Spinal Tap,’ he's spent decades making us laugh, with the comedy turned up to 11.

The Vikings loved giving cats as wedding gifts. Not only were they thought to be invaluable to brides setting up their new homes, but they were also sacred to Freya, the #Norse goddess of love, whose chariot was pulled by two giant cats. #FolkloreSunday #FairyTaleTuesday

My housemate thinks our house is haunted.
It's so weird, I've lived here 273 years and never seen any ghosts.
