If I understand this right: Abbott, to quell the voters before midterms, ordered an audit to assess the impact of data centers on TX water and grid. PUC now argues that the location of massive facilities can be determined by their impact on grid and water so can’t be provided. Google Earth aside, reporters could just drive around to know locations. Right? They’re everywhere. So, PUC’s justification is that releasing the data centers impact on water and grid could negatively impact local water and grid. Oh please. PUC doesn’t want to release the information for the same reasons Texans are demanding it - data centers have already damaged Texans access to water and grid, and they don’t want us to know the extent or where it worst. PUC was appointed by Abbott, Texas, vote accordingly.
