Addressing our @browardschools Principals and Assistant Principals this weekend at @BPAABroward Leadership Conference was fantastic! A great weekend of learning and connecting as we gear up for the new school year. Excited for what's ahead! #BCPS #Education #LeadershipMatters
Community Partnership in Action between @PBCountySheriff and @pbcsd at Lake Shore Middle.
Story Time: A Full-Circle Moment:
On Friday, our summer camp youth visited Big Dog Ranch Rescue and learned about their efforts to rescue abandoned and injured dogs. Just days later, a stray injured dog appeared on the Lake Shore Middle School campus, where our camp is held. With the help of Mindy, the principal secretary at Lake Shore Middle School, the kids sprang into action to ensure the dog's safety. Deputy Torrence (Coach T) called Big Dog Ranch. While waiting for them to arrive, we provided food, water, and a safe space for the dog. This story illustrates the transformative power of kindness, compassion, and the bond between humans and animals.

The emancipation of enslaved Black Americans was not the end of our nation's work to deliver on the promise of equality — it was only the beginning.
On Juneteenth, we recommit to our shared work to ensure racial justice, equity, and equality in America.
