FYI ... the current #LSEagles baseball Facebook page has transitioned to the LSBR ... Loudoun South Baseball Report. It will cover all things #LSBaseball ... including the #LSEagles.
This feed will keep rocking and rolling on #LSBaseball and #LSEagles news and highlights. I will be handing off the reigns to the new group shortly! Look for the Eagles soon on Instagram and Facebook too.
The #LSEagles thank Coaches Mark Wrighte @FHSEAGLES1 and Steven Davis for their years of service to our organization.

If someone sees a horse and buggy broken down on Prince William County Parkway, please stop and help. It may be someone from @PWCSNews trying to deliver us news on @colgan_baseball coach Mike Colangelo. Read more > bit.ly/2NI6tiE

This is awesome and essential. But Mr. 98 doesn't need to get stronger, he needs better command of both side of the plate and a consistent off speed pitch.
Government rationed baseball

This month @JLPSkinner reflects & remembers Kate Rhoades in her blog:
More than a Game: Lessons from Kate
"Baseball is more than just a game. Baseball is about people and relationships and community as much as it is about strikes and hits and runs."

#IndyTigers to kick-off first baseball season in #Tigertown with a charity event. Kudos. #IndyNation
Lamar Jackson threw the ball like a guy trying to make a practice squad ... and failing. He missed by 10+ yards on some, on others, balls wobbled and floated. It was brutal

I have NOTHING against velo gurus or the industry they created. But if they want to get more love in youth sports, they'l) market "command velo." Many pitchers posting high velos, would drop 7-13 mph trying to find my command velo standard. Let's see who doesn't. #makepitchers
I propose "command velo." If we can post velo maxes on pull-downs, run & guns, & with under-weight balls, why not "command velo." Show me, off the mound velo within 5 inches of the catcher target. 7 pitches, 4 locations. If you can't hit within 5 inches, 5 times, doesn't count.
I'm a huge fan of velocity. I'm a bigger fan of command. The two together make a pitcher. Ask Edwin Diaz. I get that "velo" is a tool, and an important measure. It's one single, imperfect measure. I propose a new measure for pitchers 1/2
Remember athletes, these workout programs are minimums .... not maximums. Don't do only that which is required and expect to exceed your competition!
I'll drive him.
