After 11 outstanding years leading LSBU, Vice-Chancellor Professor Dave Phoenix will leave to join the Open University as its next VC in the summer.
Under his leadership LSBU has tackled inequality, widened access to education and launched life-changing initiatives for students.
Rt Hon Sir Simon Hughes, Chancellor of London South Bank University & former Head of Public Affairs at the OU: “He will leave LSBU in a very strong place for which we owe him a huge amount. The OU will benefit greatly from his extensive experience, skill and vision."

We are team Computer Science and we get things right!
Today, I had the pleasure of meeting Sean who studied Computer Science at @LSBU many years ago. Now, he wants his son to join us ❤️
We have appointed Dr Tim Lees as the new Head of the School of Construction, Property and Surveying.
He will oversee programmes in Surveying, Construction, Real Estate, and Architectural Technology as well as lead a community of over 1,500 students.
