There is a section of Portland that thinks they are above the problems of the city despite them being responsible for them. They want the houseless out of sight because they think they earned that right. They want protests out of sight because they think it isn’t their problem.
I need to share my super proud mentor moment: not only did my mentee @HKhosroyani get selected to present her abstract as a talk at her first big conference (@AACR), she also was awarded a scholar award to attend said conference! She is killing it and I am proud.
