Highlighting some crime that likely didn’t happen today thanks to the solid proactive work of VPD Constables Richmond and Dogra in the wee hours this morning. While patrolling Gastown and Chinatown, they recognized a prolific BNE offender who was out well past his court-imposed curfew. The suspect has more than 275 documented interactions with police and eight property-crime convictions since 2024. His curfew was imposed following a January 2026 BNE charge in which he stole $1,300 in cash and jewellery from a Mount Pleasant business. Thankfully 🙏that business owner gave their time to support the court process, helping ensure appropriate conditions were imposed—and giving #VPD the tools to intervene when those conditions were breached, preventing the next victim. #CrimePrevention #VPD
