If you’re a pro ethnicity nationalist for Afghanistan. Dont follow me. I will offend you because I don’t care about your ethnicity, I care about your ethics, morals, and actions you have taken to make Afghanistan a more livable country for all of its citizens.
I’ve seen a wave of trolls who have started following me and I’m very happy to block all of you if you say anything stupid. So I know it will be soon.

No one in the aid space agrees with this. Nobody.
Foreign countries in crisis with close ties to the US all openly decry the dissolution of USAID & DOGE cuts.
The #Trump admin's foreign policy circles are full of people who [privately] say the same.

Italy has long offered Afghan asylum seekers some of the highest recognition rates in the EU. So why do so many still move on after getting protection? AAN looks at why Italy remains a gateway to Europe rather than a place many Afghans settle.👇

Afghan families, and the donors who gave on their behalf, cannot see where aid money goes once it is paid. Every dollar of humanitarian aid to Afghanistan was raised on one promise, that it would reach an Afghan family, and the public record stops long before anyone can confirm that it did.
On October 22, Kabul Institute opens the Afghanistan Aid Tracker, an Afghan-led public record of aid going to Afghanistan and how it is spent. Nothing is modelled or estimated, so every number can be checked against its source.
Starting tomorrow, one fact a day on what the tracker shows and what it means for Afghans.

Honestly I remember a time Twitter was exciting and had some, what’s the word…decorum? It used to be more than AI slop, bots, and people fighting each other just to justify their opinion even if they’re wrong. But here we are in hell.

“I think the biggest disease the world suffers from in this day and age is the disease of people feeling unloved. I know that I can give love for a minute, for half an hour, for a day, for a month, but I can give. I am very happy to do that, I want to do that.”

A handful of Taliban officials now work in Berlin and Bonn to facilitate deportations from Germany to Afghanistan. France is considering doing the same in Paris, and other European countries are showing interest.
This cooperation follows months of quiet engagement and a controversial meeting in Brussels in June, where over 20 EU delegates failed to question the Taliban even once on human rights.
German officials describe the engagement as effective recognition of the Taliban as the legitimate government.

Honoured to begin my mandate as EU Special Envoy for Afghanistan. The Afghan people, and in particular women and girls, will remain at the heart of the EU's engagement. I look forward to working with our partners in the region and beyond.

Sure, I love this strategic partner: 1) 300,000 Afghan children were disabled under strategic land mines targeting children shaped like toys 2) 3 million Afghans killed during Soviet - Afghan war.
A lack of education, and critical thinking is hurting the people of Afghanistan.
My issue with a lot of Afghans is that there’s so much personal bias that people are intellectually dishonest, on every side.

UN Women has warned that women and girls account for 60% of people at risk of food insecurity in Afghanistan. The agency says escalating tensions in the Middle East could threaten the food security of 11.7 million women and girls across 28 countries by the end of 2026.

Here’s the highly calibrated and watered-down statement by the @eu_eeas spox following several rounds of Pakistani military air and ground strikes that have killed more than 1000 Afghan civilians since last year.
Someone wrote: “At least they took note!”
Afghans and the world are watching the selective nature of reactions to grave rights violations across the world. Void of thorough investigation and fact-finding, International law and norms are not applied equally or fairly across boundaries.
It’s a huge setback for the UN Charter, other laws and the trust factor. That applies to all sides.

Afghanistan's reconstruction absorbed roughly $𝟭𝟴𝟬 𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗼𝗻 ($145B alone by the US) in international aid over twenty years, which came apart in mere 𝗱𝗮𝘆𝘀. I wrote a policy paper on why, and the answer is in the foundation: a centralized system with no legitimacy, no fiscal independence, and a security force built to depend on outside support.
I am grateful to @attal_shams, @milad_homayoon, @zhamanahakimii, and @Neginayari for taking it seriously and disagreeing where it mattered. The clarity is only useful if Afghans inside the country and in the diaspora use it to decide what gets built next.
Our Policy Paper, The House Built on Sand, is now live on our website. It explores how the Afghan Republic was set up to fail because of its design and sets out what any future states must build differently.

1. The world must practice what it preaches to the Taliban by #engaging directly #AFGwomen, supporting us, and ensuring our meaningful #participation in all discussions about our #country and our future. Do not speak for us — provide support and #platforms for us to speak for ourselves.
2. Codify #GenderApartheid as a crime against humanity.
3. Provide us with #flexible and adaptable #support to continue our advocacy and sustain our #activism.
4. Support an inclusive #political pathway for Afghanistan, with an end state of an #inclusive government and inclusive governance.
Our gratitude to all partners and states who made this important convening possible.
