We were pleased that the two submissions that we made earlier this year for local heritage listing status for Bishops Hill (formerly Brentwood ACL) and Hutton Poplars Lodge were unanimously approved by the Assets, Projects & Strategy Committee on Wednesday evening. Local listing affords a level of protection for important heritage assets as part of the planning framework. 👏 Thank you to everyone from across the chamber for speaking with one voice on this issue. @followers

This evening I outlined my opposition in the Planning Committee to the excessive number of homes in the planning application proposed off Priests Lane in Shenfield. Whilst I fully acknowledge the principle of the site in the LDP it is wrong to have such high numbers coming forward. Otherwise what is the purpose of having the figures reviewed by a government inspector before each LDP can be approved ? #PlanningMatters #shenfield
So proud of my 13yr young son!
