New Year’s Eve definitely not turning out how I’d planned. I’m supposed to be at #CBJ game right now, but am currently in ER w/ Mom 2hours away from Columbus. Her care facility called this morning needing to send her to hospital. They plan on admitting her. Prayers appreciated.

Things I feared while out of country happened. Dad admitted to hospital day I arrived in Stockholm (10/29), put into hospice Mon (11/7). Passed yesterday (11/8) afternoon, day I made it to Haukedalen, Norway where our family originated. Didn’t say goodbye in person, but in spirit

Not sure if it was just the one stand I went to, but it appears that the Finnish teams’ stores at Nokia arena are closed. I would’ve liked to get something of theirs as a souvenir. Have a feeling NHL wants all the money souvenir-wise.

Asked my parents to do one thing while I’m in Europe: don’t get sick/need to go to the hospital while I’m gone…. Brother texted me yesterday that Dad fell, in hospital w/ fractures in neck & back, in a lot of pain - no other details at this time. 🥺
