The Timberwolves just got a lot more athletic and dangerous. This team is going to be fun to watch.
BREAKING: Jonathan Kuminga has agreed to a two-year, $13 million deal with the Minnesota Timberwolves, plus a player option, agent Aaron Turner tells ESPN. Kuminga will be a starter alongside Anthony Edwards, LaMelo Ball, Jaden McDaniels and Rudy Gobert on the West contender.

No other sport has a more entertaining off season like the NBA does (across free agency/trades, draft, summer league, and social media commentary). NFL game days will always be more watched because every game matters more.
One of my favorite Dennis Schroder moments. Dirk also proving he’s smooth with it. German boys got motion.
Cedric Maxwell is the only finals MVP in NBA history not in the HoF. Jaylen Brown at 8.5% is way too low.

Tim Duncan would then go on to hold the record for most total selections in NBA All-Defensive Team history (15 - 8 First Team, 7 Second Team).
No player will ever come close to touching this record.
Only 36 players in NBA history have won an MVP award. Might have to agree with this take.
Kevin Durant says an MVP is more valuable than a championship ring, and his reasoning comes down to one thing: control.
"There's one a year. I don't give a f*ck what nobody say, rings are incredible, it's a great team accomplishment but c'mon, everybody wants to be MVP."
Then he explained the difference.
"There's a lot out of your control with the rings, you got a little bit more control in your hands with a MVP."
That's an interesting way to look at it.
A championship requires everything to go right around you. Teammates, coaching, health, matchups, execution and sometimes even a little luck.
An MVP is still influenced by plenty of factors, but your individual performance is much more directly in your hands.
And KD has experienced both.
He's been an MVP.
He's been a champion.
So he's not speaking from the outside looking in.
But would you rather an MVP or championship ring? 🤔

Josh Kushner sent a letter to investors in his firm, Thrive Capital, earlier this week. Thrive Eternal, which will be financing part of the Lakers sale, invests in "assets counter positioned to transformation." Bob Iger is an advisor at Thrive.
They are buying and holding assets that are safe from being entirely disrupted by AI transformation. That's what 'counter positioned to transformation’ means.
Most industries are being transformed with AI right now. Uncertainty at its peak, and companies do not want to be left stuck with a company that is killed by another competitor that is now running far cheaper with AI.
Kushner is saying a sports team is an asset that he doesnt believe will be disrupted by AI and thus, right for that fund, and really, more of a "safe assets holding company".
In honor of Dennis Schroder changing teams (again), here’s one of the toughest celebrations / poses snapped after an NBA game-winner.
