I’ve been wrestling with this concept recently, so feedback is welcome: I’m starting to observe two major groups Those who’s beliefs and behavior are congruent with reality And those who’s belief and behaviors are incongruent with reality The former aren’t complacent in possible changes, but they are much more content accepting what reality is and working to improve things without overriding such realties The latter experience anger from perpetual disappointment with the world because it’s not what they think it ‘should be’ while dismissing these realities as false truths anyone from group A who presents evidence to group B on how their ideals don’t align with reality are attacked from every possible angle until those counterpoints are silenced (typically from a moral argument, anything that counters their moral stance is immoral) This makes groups A and B incompatible at best and resentful at worst.
