US TSY SEC. BESSENT ON AI AND CHINA:
“Nothing would matter if China pulled away on AI.”
“Iron Dome and US defense wouldn’t matter if China wins AI.”
“The American people must understand what AI does for them.”
“We can’t pause on AI. China won’t pause.”
Bessent also repeated that hyperscalers “did a bad job on AI communication.”

When I said the US must win the AI race, I was called dumb because of data center opposition, rising yields, rates, VIX, Iran, etc.
I still think people are underestimating how strategically important advanced AI is.
Advanced AI will be one of the most important weapon a country can possess.
There’s no way the US willingly shoots itself in the foot and slows down the buildout while China is racing ahead.
It's a national strategic priority. Slowing down the buildout is choosing to lose.
Trump is saying this out loud, you should pay attention.

🚨 ELON JUST CONFIRMED AI’S BIGGEST BOTTLENECK:
~15GW of AI compute expected in 2027 may not be able to turn on.
It’s not just about power:
⚡ Transformers
🔌 Switchgear & wiring
❄️ Cooling & chillers
🌐 Networking
🏗️ Grid infrastructure
The picks & shovels:
$VRT → Cooling + power
$ETN → Transformers + distribution
$GEV → Grid + power
$PWR → Transmission + grid
$NVT → Electrical infrastructure
$VST → Power generation + data-center energy
$CEG → Nuclear power
$LEU → Nuclear fuel
Consensus estimate is that ~15GW of AI compute produced in 2027 cannot be turned on in 2027.
This is harder than just finding power, as you also need to build out all the transformers, wiring, liquid-cooling, (massive) chillers & complex networking. grok.com/share/bGVnYWN5_4f06…

Just some random ideas from Elon’s post:
$AAON - Chillers / liquid cooling
$NVT - Cooling
$MOD - Chillers / Cooling
$IESC - Wiring
$MTRS - chillers
$JCI - chillers
$HPS.A - Transformers (disclosure I own positions in this)
$PRY.MI - networking/wiring(fiber)
$CRDO / $AAOI (same) / $LITE / $COHR - networking
Since Elon Musk cited:
- transformers
- wiring
- liquid cooling
- massive chillers + complex networking
As the point of failure for AI compute buildout.
Which is “harder than finding power”
