Now, as @FabrizioRomano tells @caughtoffside, he could be snapped up for almost half of that figure (£47m).

No fall-back full-back options? It's been clear for a while that Manchester United need a left-back and Liverpool need a right-back. Strange such obvious deficiencies not addressed this window. Clubs will doubtless have their reasons. United - an enduring belief in the experienced but ageing Shaw, 31? Liverpool - a hope that Frimpong comes good? Or simply couldn't find or land the ones they wanted. Whatever the reason for the lack of movement, it looks a mistake. #MUFC #LFC
Imagine anyone believing that by the end of the window we would have sold Jones and Harvey and not bought a midfielder in and not replaced Salah or that we would be bidding for Sarr on the final day with CP (after Guehi) for £60-£70m - beggars belief
There needs to be accountability for this transfer window and why Hughes was allowed to continue when he was also working for Al Hilal, that's shambolic and a clear conflict - unbelievable that the club have left this play out. Manager has been failed - dreadful window.

Almost £2.5bn spent by PL clubs so far this window, but that doesn’t involve Liverpool signing a defensive midfielder or Man Utd signing a left-back. Strange times

Liverpool went into the summer needing a midfielder, a right-back, a right winger and arguably a left-back, so naturally they proceeded to sign *none* of these players. One of the most baffling transfer windows I can remember
unbelievable that the club hasn't moved Endo and Chiesa on, pointless use of NHG spots, they offer limited value.

Richard Hughes has failed to replace Mo Salah in 5 months and tried last min to buy Sarr. why was this guy ever seen as a credible candidate. FSG negligent in ceding too much control to Edwards. the truth is Klopp was just as important.
