I feel like a total fraud when I know numerous colleagues have been very hard at work today, demonstrating seriously impressive calls of judgement and risk assessment. I applaud those who were able to land - and those who chose not to. Nice one, all. 👏🏻👏🏻

Pilots do a damn good job of flying those planes, but a quick shout-out to every controller today who has had to deal with everything thrown at them. When a pilot says “I NEED to do this”, our job is to say ‘yes’ and make it safe. 👏🏻 Time for 4 days off. 😅 🍺 #stormeunice

We’re all seeing very dynamic conditions at #Heathrow, you may get lucky with gusts, you may not. Little bit fed up of criticism of pilots who choose to go around over one who lands first time. Better to try again than force a bad situation. #Eunice
