IMHO pilot/flight crew tried to bait me into confrontation so could ask us to leave #airline. 8-plus years of advocacy, I have honed ability to remain calm while being insulted & belittled 4 speaking /writing re #travel with #foodallergies. This skill served me well Pls READ RT

For #FAAW, see riveting article from @NoNutTraveler on how a pilot silenced her about her son's food allergy. When he said 'perhaps they shouldn't fly,' she feared being thrown off plane. Read what Lianne learned, and her hopes to flip the narrative. #foodallergyawarenessweek

The assault on libraries and librarians — particularly in public schools — has been going on for several years. And it is a direct and intentional assault on an informed citizenry. I wrote this essay for the @chicagotribune in 2017. #libraries google.com/amp/s/www.chicago…

Our virtual visit with @Jarrett_Lerner was amazing! Our 6th graders asked great questions and we all learned so much from Jarrett’s responses. #enginerds was such a hit they’ve already begun reading the sequel 📚💯🤓 thank you @lcjsmspto for funding this event!

LCJSMS students welcomed author Jarrett Lerner after reading his book, Enginerds. Lerner talked about his writing & illustration process. His message to the students was not to be afraid of making mistakes or failing because that's how you learn & grow as a creative force!
