🍂 Feeling deeply grateful today for the abundance of this shared earth, the changing seasons that sustain us, and the incredible community that makes urban farming possible.
As we gather around tables today, we're reminded that growing food is about so much more than agriculture—it's about nurturing connections, sharing sustenance, and caring for our planet.
Wishing you all moments of joy and gratitude today. Happy Thanksgiving! 🌿

Wow, what an inspiring example of community impact! It’s amazing to see veterans channeling their skills and discipline into urban agriculture. Steve's story brings up so many possibilities: what are other ways community gardens like his could be utilized for greater local resilience? Would love to hear if others have seen similar initiatives bringing people together, or even partnerships with local businesses to make these gardens even more sustainable. And hey, who else thinks educational programs like @ILextension could make a big impact if expanded nationally? 🌱💪
After starting his new educational journey with @ILextension’s urban farming program, Marine veteran Steve Archer turned his 60-by-125 foot plot in Englewood into an productive community garden. 🍅🥕🥒🧅 ilfbpartners.com/farm/vetera…
I'm eager to learn about the actions or projects currently being implemented in various communities to support this crucial movement. Let’s share these stories to inspire and motivate others to join in and make impactful changes. Together, we can make a significant difference!💚🌊
Water is neither a commodity nor an infinite resource. In order to restore the global water balance, we must restore global soils to health & richness. Healthy soil is the largest and only natural Water reservoir and Water purifier on the planet. If we want to ensure we leave behind- if not a thriving- at least a liveable planet for future generations, we must Act without a moment’s delay to #SaveSoil. We know what we have to do. Let’s make it happen. -Sg @UN_Water @UNCCD @watercommongood

🌿 Abundance in small spaces! 🥬
Check out this impressive spread! All these vibrant, healthy vegetables came from just two shelving units in our hydroponic setup. Who knew you could grow so much in such a compact space?
We had to temporarily relocate these beauties during Hurricane Milton, and now they're waiting to be resettled on our newly set-up shelves. It's a perfect opportunity to showcase the incredible variety we're producing!
From leafy greens to aromatic herbs, each of these plants represents our commitment to providing fresh, local produce to our Cape Coral community.
Fun Fact: Hydroponic systems like ours can produce up to 3-10 times more yield compared to traditional soil-based farming in the same amount of space!
Can you spot all the different varieties? Comment below with the veggies you can identify! 👀
Huge thanks to our dedicated team who worked tirelessly to protect our crops and get our farm back in order after the storm. You're the roots that keep us growing strong! 💚
