End of an Era: Fuji Speedway Finale (September 15, 2003) 🇯🇵🏁.
Before Fuji Speedway underwent its massive 2004 redesign, the historic Japanese track bit farewell to its legendary, terrifyingly fast classic layout with one final, emotional track day.
To give the old grid the send-off it deserved, some of the most iconic Group C and Le Mans monsters ever built took to the pavement to scream down that massive 1.5 km main straight one last time.
The lineup was pure motorsport royalty:
• 🚀 Nissan R92CP: The 800+ HP twin-turbo V8 king of the JSPC.
• 🏆 Mazda 787B: The screaming, 4-rotor rotary legend that conquered Le Mans in '91.
• ⚡️ Nissan R391: The open-cockpit V8 prototype that won the 1999 Fuji 1000km.
• 🏁 Porsche 962C: The absolute benchmark of endurance racing that dominated Fuji in the '80s and '90s.
A unforgettable day when the ground shook, rotors screamed, and turbos spooled under the shadow of Mount Fuji. 🏔️🔊
