📣 I’m running for re-election!
I’ve been proud to serve you all as a member of the @CBCommSchools BOE. A lot great things have happened. But there’s still more work to do. Let’s keep moving forward, together. 💙

It’s more than just a football game, it’s about the whole city of Council Bluffs, and how we represent our schools and city with pride! ❤️💙🤍🧡
ALHS Band put on wonderful performances at the “Battle of the Bluffs” game last night. 🎶 🥁 🎺 It’s amazing to see how special the music and arts are for our students.
President Tripp and I had the opportunity to discuss what we do as board members, share what we love about our schools, and highlight how the nation looks to our district as #ALLStars 🌟 during the “Battle of the Bluffs” Preview show. 📸:// @CBCommSchools
Our Board recently read “School Boarding” by Jim Burgett. A great resource for new board members and plenty of reminders for those of us with more time around the table. 📚
One of my favorite reminders: show up with happiness and a willingness to make a difference. Thankfully, that’s something I already see from our Board. 😀
Also catching up on this one… ⚾️ Earlier this month, we held our annual Board Retreat. It was a great opportunity to step back, reflect, plan, and look ahead to the year ahead. Lots of good work happening behind the scenes! Grateful for this team and excited for what’s ahead💙
Catching you up on something I forgot to share… ⚾️😂
We revealed our new district theme at our Back to School Celebration: ALL STARS! ⭐️
Here’s to an ALL STAR year for our students, staff, families & community! 🏫💙
Sharing a few never-before-seen pics from my 1st campaign video, filmed at schools I attended growing up. Special to go from being a student to now serving on the school board. Wishing our students, families, teachers & staff an amazing first day and an ALL STAR year! ⭐️
Honored to speak at yesterday’s graduation ceremonies for ALHS & TJHS on behalf of the @CBCommSchools Board of Education. 🎤 A full circle moment for me as I was once the “present” speaker at my own ALHS graduation. 🎓Congratulations, Class of 2026. Keep achieving more. 🌟

No better way to start graduation week than celebrating the @CBCommSchools students who earned their credentials through Iowa Western last night!
Thank you to @VickieMurillo for helping foster this strong partnership as we continue creating academic momentum for CB students.

Most of the 139 Abraham Lincoln & Thomas Jefferson seniors who will also graduate from Iowa Western Community College this Friday were recognized by the Board of Education and Superintendent Murillo on Tuesday night.
They are ready for their futures! #DiplomaPlusOne #AchieveMore
