Good to see well done BBC Exciting news! Naturewatch launches on Friday, 6 November, and the show will run year-round as a weekly video podcast based near Bristol. The new series will give viewers a continuous, weekly look at British wildlife through every season. Host Megan McCubbin told the BBC: β€œHaving a weekly programme dedicated to UK wildlife means a lot, as so much activity happens under our noses that often goes unnoticed... but no longer! Packed with science, stories and wonder, I hope it will inspire viewers to get outside and reconnect with the wildlife around us.” Naturewatch begins on Friday 6 November. You can view it on BBC iPlayer or listen on BBC Sounds from 6am, and then watch it at 7.30pm on BBC Two.

Thank you, Niall, for sharing the story of this adorable Chihuahua. How can someone be so cruel and sleep at night after dumping such a sweet little creature not on the street, but in the jungle? She must have been terrified poor thing! She could have been killed by another animal. I'm sorry she lost one eye, but I have no doubt that she will be so loved and cared for even without it. I'm so happy you rescued her and that she is now in a safe place. Waiting to see what name you decide to give her. πŸ™β€οΈπŸΎβœ¨ @NiallHarbison

Lots more sleep. Meds. Love and her drip. Maybe, just maybe we can save her life and get her back on her feet. A big week ahead for this gorgeous little girl 🀞(6/6)

This mesmerising image of a diving Gannet won the world's top bird photography prize. It was taken by photographer Henley Spiers off the coast of Shetland in Scotland. THIS is where Gannets belong, not in the body bags of the Guga hunters!

Sometimes we come across dogs and we fear the worst but I think we got to this gorgeous gentle boy, just in time. He'd clearly been hit by a car and also dragged underneath it when two of our team came across him first thing this morning. When I arrived I could clearly see he was still in shock, with his heart pounding and his body and mind in absolute turmoil. Luckily it was only about a 5-minute drive from our little hospital and we were able to get him in, get him treated, and onto the best possible pain relief and medicines. Despite being in so much pain it's unbelievable how nice and gentle he was in terms of his nature. I decided to call him Bruno because that is the meaning of brown in several languages like German. Let's hope we can get him mended, feeling a bit better, and create a better life for this gorgeous boy. Lying at the side of the road, soaked and in agony, will soon become a distant memory for this boy.

I really give up. Everything is a lost cause. Just no hope. The EU has sanctioned the killing quota of 132,000 EUROPEAN TURTLE DOVES - one of the most endangered bird species of our time. They won't stop until it is extinct. Disgraceful and unforgiveable

Out whale watching from Steveston, and the boat did everything right, shutting the engine off a safe distance from the whales. Yet these two humpbacks were absolutely fascinated by the boat, spending an hour within touching distance! First time a whale’s ever breathed on me!
