Another new addition to our already incredible guest list: Disney Legend, Disneyland "Club 55" member, and RetroMagic "Five Timer-Club" recipient Tom Nabbe will be taking the stage in Anaheim this upcoming Feb. 6-7 with us.
Tom started his career hustling Disneyland Newspapers outside the park in 1955. A few years later, Walt Disney personally hired him to portray Tom Sawyer at Disneyland. Tom returned to the company later in life and had an amazing career in Disneyland Operations before transferring to Florida to oversee the monorails. Tom coordinated the expansion of Tomorrowland and Tom Sawyer Island in the Magic Kingdom before moving to PICO to build a computerized system to track and deliver Epcot Center set pieces and props shipped from across the US to their pavilions for installation. He repeated that role for the EuroDisney project and ensured the park opened on time!

We are thrilled to announce that noted author and former WDI President, Bob Weis, will be joining us at RetroMagic 2027 in California this upcoming February.
For fans of WDW, Bob was the leader of the Disney-MGM Studio project that brought the first new park in nearly a decade to life in Florida in 1989.
He went on to work on Tokyo DisneySea, and after a hiatus, returned to Glendale to oversee the development of Cars Land and Shanghai Disneyland before assuming leadership of Imagineering in 2016.
Since his retirement, Weis has written "Dream Chasing," a book about his experiences at Disney, and is set to release a new book in 2027, "The Marty Sklar Archives."
We have a handful of tickets available still those those who would like to join us.

OWN THIS POSTER SET
A rare set of fifteen posters from the 1976 “Walt Disney World means…” promotional campaign will be on display at RetroMagic. These colorful posters measuring 22.75” x 28” feature The Vacation Kingdom of the World in all of its mid-70’s glory. Each poster is individually framed and retail on the auction/resale market in the $200-$400 range. A full, unused set like this is virtually unheard of.
To help sponsor RetroMagic and future events the Lake Buena Vista Historical Society will accept offers for the entire set until the morning session is completed at RetroMagic on Saturday, September 27th. If no one makes a reasonable offer for the set, the individual posters will be offered to RetroMagic attendees via silent auction until 5 PM on Sunday, September 28th. Payment will be due immediately and winning bidders must take their posters with them. Your payment is a 100% tax deductible donation to Lake Buena Vista Historical Society.
