Not only did @LBPD patrol officers locate the suspect from an earlier hit and run collision, they recovered the loaded gun he tried to discard when they stopped him. Suspect is also on probation and prohibited from carrying firearms. Great work!

Our thoughts and prayers are with the family and loved ones of Officer Machitar and our partners at the San Diego Police Department. 💙
Last night the @LBPD HCF team encountered a group of subjects and noticed one of them hiding - he was found carrying this unregistered firearm. Our police officers face danger each day and they do this to keep all of us safe. Their bravery and resilience is exemplary.
Today the @LBPD Exec Team took a moment to thank our Community Services Assistants for the incredible work they do to assist our patrol officers and our community. They’ve handled well over 7000 calls since their launch! Thank you to all of our CSAs. Well done!
Yesterday, we were joined by family and friends to celebrate the graduation of @LBPD Class 98. Also in attendance - our amazing LBPD Explorers. A truly special moment seeing past, present, and future LBPD officers together in celebration. Well done everyone! 👏
