As we come to the end of Blood Cancer Awareness week would like to give thanks to everyone who has helped improve the lives of Blood Cancer Patients in New Zealand. What are you thankful for?
The annual Firefighter Sky Tower Stair Challenge is this Saturday with firefighters from around the country gathering at the Sky Tower.
Firefighters and supporters have done an incredible job fundraising to help Kiwis and their families with blood cancer and we are so grateful.
"It wasn’t until I read the full list of blood cancer symptoms that I was able to put together the various symptoms that I had been experiencing over the last few months, I went straight to my doctor." Janet, Tauranga
Know the symptoms that affect 7 kiwis every day?
Raising awareness of blood cancer is a priority. Being aware of symptoms and prompt diagnoses may make treatment of blood cancers more effective.
A diagnosis can change a person’s life overnight and has a huge impact on the patients, their family, friends and their income.
Every year around 2,600 New Zealanders are told they have a blood cancer. Through increased awareness, earlier diagnoses and access to better medications, we can begin to more effectively manage and improve outcomes.
