Travel/academy coaches need to stop blowing out arms for meaningless games. HS coaches need to stop telling their guys that they can’t play outside of HS baseball. The recruiting period isn’t a time to shut down and not be seen. #takesavillage

Parents of 12- to 16-year-olds are forwarding me showcase invitations again this week. Four hundred dollars to be seen. Here is what I tell every family: college coaches are not evaluating seventh graders, and anyone who says otherwise is selling something. Save the money. Spend it on development.

The work put in by Louisville, Florida State, & Stanford pitchers on the Cape have me really excited for their staffs in ‘27.
The development/confidence gained by these trios will be massive:
Schweitzer/Murphy/Shannon (UL)
Vaughn/Manca/O’Leary (FSU)
Ketelsen/Gomez/Reimers (SU)

ACC pitchers enjoyed fantastic summers on the Cape, as 10 arms with 10+ IP boasted sub-2.00 ERAs, led by Clemson pitcher Danny Nelson.
If I was to name an ACC Cape Pitcher of the Summer, I'd probably lean Rhett Vaughn (FSU), who went 4-0 with a 0.99 ERA and 35 K's in 27.1 IP (Incl playoffs).

The ACC doubles leader on the Cape was Stanford's JJ Moran, who just nipped BC's Colin Larson.
Overall, 3 of the Top 5 for double were from Stanford.

Here are the ACC pitchers who earned multiple wins during the Cape Cod regular season this past summer.

Charlie Bates (SU) and Colin Larson (BC) each slugged 10 XBH on the Cape this summer, leading the way for ACC hitters in the nation's premier summer league.

Rhett Vaughn just missed qualifying (by an inning) for the Cape League ERA, WHIP, and BAA crowns, but he takes the cake in my Top 10 categories for the ACC.
Some notable Wolfpack and Tiger names, plus a pair of Stanford guys in both the Top 10 ACC of WHIP and BAA

From what I can tell, 91 ACC players were on the Cape this summer (46 hitters, 45 pitchers, & 1 two-way).
Here are the regular-season stats for every one of them, sorted by school. It includes anyone who threw an inning or took an AB.
