I asked the bathroom attendant if she wanted something to drink, I could order and bring it to her. She was so surprised I offered & said I was so nice to ask. She said she wanted a water. I open my bag & gave her a fresh Fiji. She says “oh no thanks, I don’t like Fiji” – at Paradise, NV

Multiple people have had meetings with management, even written letters to clearly state all the times that the private game has asked players in public games running if they wanna play. So far I’m the first one to publicly state it, but I hope others will speak up.

Ok wait my last tweet has been misconstrued. I guess you can’t hear my tone via text. But when I said “apparently I was wrong” it referred to the host rage texting me and telling me I have no clue and that I’m wrong and that both players were invited prior.

I didn’t say anything to him except I posted only what I saw, and as he kept berating me about how I don’t know anything, I said ok cool man I’ll believe you. But it still doesn’t change the fact that many others have complained to management about this for months prior

I am in no way backing out from my original thread where all I stated exactly what I saw and how I was not the only one in the room who felt the way I feel seeing what we saw

To be clear, I am not complaining about private games. I play in private games when I can. But the ones i play in, do not have players that have their names on the public wait list or are already sitting in a public game.Thats what i saw at the Wynn that night so i wrote about it

I’m not apologizing for speaking up. Multiple ppl have reached out to say they have already complained about the same thing many times prior.

Apparently I was wrong about it, that both players were there to play his game, I told the host that I’ll believe him. Not sure if it changes the fact that so many ppl have spoken up to management about similar incidents though

Going to Wynn later to try and start a $10/$20 again if anyone is interested in playing. I’ll be the lonely lady sitting at an empty table right beside the private game. 🙋🏻‍♀️

I’ve been contacted by the private game host and got told “I don’t have a clue, I don’t bring anything to poker and that I’ve burned all my bridges after posting this” he also said he’s gonna tell everyone how I’ve asked for a seat in his game before and now I’m just salty

Apparently the two players on the 10/20 list last night were already there for his game but out of the kindness of his heart, he made one wait so I could start the 10/20 for an hour ❤️

Apparently I have no clue about the poker scene and it’s just a coincidence that I have had multiple ppl messaging me since my thread telling me that they’ve been complaining about this game for months.

This is exactly it. I know it’s inevitable that it’s happening. But these hosts need consequences when they literally kill the chance of a public game starting or killing the game when they poach a player already sitting in a public game or waiting for a public game.
I’m a fan of private poker games in casinos, but game runners should bring their own players, not poach strangers from the casino’s public games who are already on site. If I were a poker room manager, I’d make that rule clear and give any game runner who breaks it the 🥾

If you’re wondering what it’s like in Vegas nowadays, when it comes to public games bigger than a $5/$10NL game.. Here’s a story of what happened last night. After seeing a small wait list forming, I tried to start a public $10/$20NL game at the Wynn.

My game now lasts 20 more minutes and then it dies. $10/$20 used to run strong and consistently at the Wynn, and now I can’t even get it started on a Friday night.

The poker room thinks they can attract more players by changing buy in structures/not allowing straddles, so the game is “not intimidating for new players” .. how about just not letting private game hosts pull shit like this?
