A U.S. congressman wants to change how we legally “own” video games. Rep. Ritchie Torres has announced plans to introduce the Power To The Players Act, a bill that would direct the FTC to create rules protecting consumers who buy video games. The proposal would give players three basic rights: >The right to own the games they purchase, rather than simply receiving a revocable license >The right to keep playing games after online servers are shut down, through an offline mode >The right to transfer or resell games they own Torres argues that if a company can take a game away simply by shutting down its servers, then the consumer didn’t really buy the game in the first place. Torres also hopes the legislation could eventually establish a precedent for ownership rights across other parts of the digital economy: “If you pay for it, you own it.”

Callina Liang says the day after her casting as Chun-Li was revealed, she saw a Reddit thread saying her thighs were “nowhere near as big.” “As a huge fan myself I would want whoever plays Chun-Li to be what I envisioned her to be like in my head… I was just like ‘have zero regrets, try your best & then some’ and then whatever result I ended up with, I know I gave it my all.” (Source: @ProjBigScreen)

He didn't, actually. Most of his classmates thought it was awesome and his mom shielded him from the hate online. His spiral came from substance abuse, schizophrenia, and his parents' divorce. The divorce is what caused him to quit acting, not bullying.

“What about a story?” said Christopher Robin. “Could you very sweetly tell Winnie-the-Pooh one?” “I suppose I could,” I said. “What sort of stories does he like?” “About himself. Because he’s that sort of Bear.” “I’ll try,” I said. So I tried. ~A.A.Milne #winniethepooh100

Regardless of the legality it's ironic that Sony killing physical discs and telling people to basically get comfortable with not owning their games has led to the PS5 jailbreak scene to go into overdrive to such a degree that there's a store where you can get any PSN item free.

Monarch butterfly numbers climbed 64% this season, thanks in part to the growing number of people creating pollinator gardens. It’s a clear reminder of what shared purpose can accomplish. Look what we did Their recovery is still fragile, though, so continuing, and expanding those plantings next year remains essential.

can’t say this enough but art deco really should’ve been the standard american architecture. the potential with this could’ve been insane.
The Art Deco details of the Hoover Dam are incredible. One of the most beautiful pieces of American infrastructure ever built.
