I’m a people-first Democrat. Not a corporate Democrat. Not a PAC Democrat. Not a billionaire’s Democrat. I’m a working-family Democrat. A Medicare for All Democrat. A people-over-PACs Democrat. I value you over a dollar. My politics have a bottom line: people, not profit.

On my podcast appearance I talked about how Elon Musk begged to go to Epstein Island and how horrible of a human being he is.

People do understand that abolishing ICE isn’t the same thing as abolishing border patrol?
Stephen A. Smith PRESSES Abdul El-Sayed on Abolishing ICE — Then Gets a Firm Answer on Open Borders Stephen A. Smith: You’ve said the only way forward is to abolish ICE and start from scratch. What does that mean? Dr. Abdul El-Sayed: Let me be clear: I believe we ought to have a safe, secure southern border. I believe you ought to enforce immigration law, but not through masked men with AR-15s acting against the Constitution. ICE didn’t exist before this century. It’s not part of the Constitution. ICE is not about immigration. It’s about making a show of immigration and normalising paramilitary force on our streets. I believe we need to undo it and build a system that enforces immigration law while respecting the Constitution. Stephen A. Smith: Is there any condition under which you think open borders are acceptable? Dr. Abdul El-Sayed: No. You have to have borders that you can control. There’s no question about that. People think ICE is about border enforcement, but it’s not. Customs and Border Protection enforces the border. ICE handles immigration enforcement inside the country. I went to Minneapolis during the height of Project Metro Surge. Some of the things I saw, I never thought I would see in the United States of America. We can’t allow that to continue.

Y’all need to stop trying to turn this Hakeem Jeffries situation into a race issue. For many of us, it’s about his unwavering support for Israel while our tax dollars fund what we believe is genocide. And you conveniently leave out that we don’t want Chuck Schumer either. Schumer isn’t Black. The opposition is for the same reason. It’s about policy, not race.

Why do they write these long ass posts. Y’all ran on hatred and bigotry.
Let’s be honest— Most Republicans were completely caught off guard by the Blue Wave that hit South Carolina. Many GOP candidates put very little effort into the general election. Most hadn’t faced real competitive general elections in years. The primaries were the game. Seeing the final numbers for the Congressional races, state house races, etc is staggering. National factors were driving this election, and the Graham race had outsized effect, but the absence of real campaigning down ballot also had major impact. That cannot happen again. The Party has to step up. Republicans must campaign in every district to push base turn out. The Dems recruited a candidate for every single state house seat! Republicans in heavy R districts did little, and candidates in blue districts were ignored or sidelined by the Party. (Note—numerous voters claim they received NO mailers or other campaign contact from any GOP campaigns except the top of the ticket). Party resources must be primarily allocated to general elections. Stop playing in primaries and let the voters decide. No more incumbent protection racket. Provide resources for ALL Republican candidates, not just favored ones. Earlier this year state Party resources were used to send attack ads against Freedom Caucus Republicans. Then in the general—nothing. Baffling and irresponsible! General election messaging shouldn’t sound exactly like the primary—it definitely didn’t for the Dems. The GOP must campaign to Independents. The Party should weigh in more on legislation BEFORE it’s passed—especially bad legislation that will come back to bite in the general. For example, the Legislature never should have voted to raise their own pay, hiked taxes on lower and middle income earners, refused to enact Trumps Big Beautiful bill cuts, passed a record-setting bloated budget, etc. Especially a general election year! The Republican Legislature wrote the Dem’s campaign ads for them, but the Party was silent. More bridge building must be done between the wings of the party. Not less debate or dialogue on issues or policy, but less fighting and ostracism. Relatedly, winning primary campaigns must put far more effort into courting former opponent’s supporters. SC Republicans need to get our act together and reverse course, before we go the way of Georgia. The time for constructive unity has come. And it must come from the top.

The Epstein files must be released in full, with only the redactions necessary to protect victims. Every individual implicated must be investigated, regardless of political party, wealth, or power. Any foreign government involved in these crimes must be exposed and held accountable. I don’t care if they’re considered an “ally.”

Let me be clear: I will never take a penny from AIPAC or Super PACs that don’t put Mississippi and America first. This Senate seat belongs to the people of Mississippi. That’s who I’ll answer to.

Hey @grok, did F-35 military jets momentarily do a flyover of the Epstein press conference in DC and drown out the survivors and their supporters who were trying to speak?
The flyovers will continue until morale improves.

The Medicaid cuts in Trump’s “One Big Ugly Bill” begin taking effect in January 2027. When families start losing healthcare coverage, remember who pushed this legislation through. Republicans passed it. Democrats opposed it. Don’t let anyone rewrite history when the consequences hit American families.

The Democratic establishment and mainstream media are trying to force Jeffries and Schumer on us as leaders. The blue tsunami was a mandate for change, not business as usual. No more foreign influence in our government. No more U.S. aid funding genocide in Gaza. No more ignoring the people while protecting the political establishment. They should listen to the people.

Be a Zack.
The right had 2 whole years to do literally whatever they wanted. And they spent it filling their pockets, protecting pedophiles, bombing Iran, and calling people retard. Such a waste of time.

If SC-06 elects a progressive like me in 2028, the impact could reach far beyond our district. South Carolina has played a major role in shaping Democratic presidential primaries. Imagine the message we’d send nationwide by electing a progressive right here. If we want a progressive president, we need to show the country that progressive candidates can win in South Carolina.
