Why do ban waves happen? Ban waves happen because of Vietnamese and Bangladesh producers creating over a billion BMs a year. For instance, BM3s and BM1s are being hit hard right now because they get massed produced (over 5 billion of each BM was produced in the last 365 days). When over a billion of one type of BM is produced Meta has a shit fit and naturally bans 70-80% of these BMs. Even if you create a new BM in a legit way during a ban wave, you’ll still be hit under ‘automation’. BM BANWAVE ONGOING 😓 For anyone who’s setting up a new BM here’s the best way to do so: The idea is to run a test campaign first, let it charge successfully, then edit it to your real campaign. Requirements before starting: - US IP - Assign ad account and page to the profile - If you want to be extra safe, let the profile sit in the US IP for about 1 day before starting Step by step: 1. Find a homeless shelter image online and post it to your Page 2. Go to the Page, find that post and click Boost Post (this method tends to work better for initial setup) 3. Open Google Maps and find any business near your current IP location. Copy their phone number, address, and name 4. Before adding your card, you need to add business information first. Use the address you just found on Google Maps 5. After adding business info, reload the page, then add your card 6. Set up the ad as a Call campaign. Use the phone number from the business you found 7. For targeting, use the same location from Google Maps 8. Run the campaign 9. Once the card gets charged successfully, edit the campaign to your real setup This method helps the card go through smoothly because everything looks local and consistent. Just had a kid hit me up on Telegram stressing about the fact he needs to submit an ID verification on Facebook.com or his account will be restricted in a few days. The issue at hand? He purchased the profile off a Vietnam supplier who pays no mind to client after care. And as a result, he can’t get the ID for the profile as the supplier has gone ghost 👻 SIMPLE solution to anyone stuck in the same scenario… 1. Go to Facebook.com and change the profile first name and surname to your own. 2. Change the account birthday to your own also, sometimes Facebook won’t let you change the birthday if changed too recently or might require an ID submission. If you can’t change the birthday don’t worry, the names the main focus. 3. Wait a few hours then submit your OWN personal ID (passport, drivers license, national card etc.) This goes for requesting reviews + verifying a profile. This has a much higher success rate than uploading those dodgy fake IDs suppliers provide with profiles. CAMPAIGNS NOT SPENDING BUG🐞 A lot of people (clients and non clients) been having issues with campaigns not spending over the last few days. I believe this wave is a Meta server side issue as it’s the same case for a lot of people who use BMs from different suppliers and also their own BMs. And it’s been more apparent over the last week. In fact, there’s been a lot of changes within Meta since end of December where new errors are coming up for people that we haven’t seen before (again we’re not just talking about our clients specifically here). Causes and Fixes 1. Classic payment method issue. Some banks that aren’t mainstream and a lot of virtual banks get soft flagged. You won’t see the restriction, but it’s on the back end. We recommend using Revolut or Slash for virtual cards. If you want to change payment methods safely please add a backup card then switch it to your default. Then wait 24 hours before deleting your original (now backup) card. 2. Not enough budget to enter your niche/countries auction. A lot of people run into this problem when running cheap warm up campaigns. If it’s not spending every 6-12 hours dupe the campaign and increase the budget to $5. Make sure to turn off the original campaign. 3. Meta server side bug. At the moment I believe this is what the issue is as it’s happening to SO many peoples campaigns in a short space of time. It’s been extremely apparent in the last week. Just got of a call with a client of mine who owns a performance marketing agency. He reached out a few months ago because his team was spending more time managing Meta bans than actually running ads for clients 🤦🏻‍♂️ Classic. Their burn rate on ad accounts was completely unsustainable. The situation: Eight client brands, all performing well, but going through 12-15 ad account bans per month. They were maintaining a full-time employee just to create new profiles, warm accounts, and manage the constant churn. The labor cost alone was $3,500/month before factoring in the revenue lost during downtime between bans. Their attempted solutions weren’t working. They tried buying aged profiles from random vendors (half were already flagged), rotated through different proxy services (made the problem worse), and even hired a “Meta compliance consultant” who gave them generic advice that didn’t address the real issues. Here’s what they didn’t understand: Meta is tracking entire networks of connected assets. When one account in your structure gets flagged, it poisons everything touching it. They were essentially spreading the infection across their entire client portfolio because they kept connecting new accounts to compromised Business Managers. What our team done to get them out of the dreaded Meta ban loop: 🥷🏼First, we isolated the damaged infrastructure. Some of their BMs were so flagged that anything connected to them would get banned within days. We identified which assets were salvageable and which needed to be abandoned entirely. Painful, but necessary. 🥷🏼We provided them with three verified Business Managers, one for high-risk verticals, one for established brands, and one for new client onboarding. This segmentation meant that if one area had issues, it wouldn’t cascade across their entire agency. 🥷🏼For ad accounts, we set them up with a rental model using our agency accounts. Ten accounts total, properly distributed across the three BMs. These accounts came with real spending history and clean compliance records. 🥷🏼More importantly, they were maintained by us, so any technical issues or verification problems became our responsibility, not theirs. 🥷🏼We restructured their profile strategy entirely. No more burning through fresh profiles every week. We provided aged profiles, minimum six months old, with established activity patterns. These profiles had friend networks, post history, and behavioral patterns that looked legitimate to Meta’s systems. Then we trained their team on proper asset hygiene: how to space spending increases, how to warm new placements, which connection patterns trigger fraud detection, and how to structure campaigns in the post-Andromeda environment where vertical integration matters more than horizontal scaling. The transformation: From 12-15 bans per month to zero bans in 90 days. They eliminated the $6,500/month employee cost managing account churn. More importantly, their client retention improved dramatically because campaigns actually stayed live. They’re now running $680k in monthly ad spend across all clients with the same ten accounts we set them up with three months ago. No churn, no drama, no emergency Slack messages about accounts being down. Most agencies accept the ban cycle as just part of doing business on Meta. It’s not. The difference is having infrastructure that Meta’s systems recognize as legitimate from day one, not trying to fake legitimacy with fresh accounts and hoping you don’t get caught.
