I have one winter on the calendar before the first customers expect a robot in their fields.
Now is the time for maximizing capacity for experimentation.
Here is the plan for the new few months:
1. Build a more capable and highly adaptable V2
2. Keep exploring real-world use cases and meeting people across the industry, including a visit to @reservoirfarms this winter
3. Prepare for weed-control service with farmers starting next spring
Now that fundraising is wrapping up, I'm excited to have time to make content again too!

Rowve doesn’t have a website.
We don’t have a deck.
We don’t even have a logo.
But we do have a prototype, our first customer, and now VC backing!
Excited to share that @deepwatermgmt has invested in Rowve as we build and validate the next generation of agricultural robotics
I’ve been sitting on this news for the past week, so I’m stoked to finally share it with y’all.
This gives Rowve the runway to build the next prototype, get back into the field, and spend the next growing season proving where robotics can create real economic value for growers.
Huge thank you to @dougclinton for advocating for me and helping make this happen.
There is still a ton left to prove, but I couldn’t be more excited to get back to building 🦾
I firmly believe early-stage hardware & robotics startups should optimize for experimentation, not the final form factor.
Your initial assumptions will almost certainly be wrong.
Build prototypes that can adapt, then specialize for the customer pain that proves worth solving.
It’s so cool how old random connections end up becoming critical to future projects.
Met this guy who said he liked my tweet-controlled livestream a few months back.
He runs a company making specialty aluminum extrusions in Wisconsin and has patented a secure locking system which is especially useful for mobile robotics platforms.
It should be perfect for the updated v2, especially for maximizing adjustability to fit various crop rows during the initial pilots.
Pro tip: take notes of every interesting person you meet. Someday, it may pay dividends.
