#Panchkula #Haryana #ChildSafety – at Delhi, India

Throwback to when Sanju Samson who was just a college student got his maiden call-up to the Indian cricket team and this was how his college celebrated. College declared holiday and whole college celebrated this achievement 💙🇮🇳 An 18 year old Sanju Samson received his first call-up to the Indian team in 2013 after winning the Emerging Player of the Tournament award in IPL 2013. But he didn't get a single opportunity that year. In 2014, Sanju was called up again for the ODI and T20 series against England, only to spend the entire series on the bench, even when India won the series. Finally, in 2015, Sanju made his international debut against Zimbabwe. And what was his batting position? No. 7🙃 He was forced to bat down the order and played just one match in that series. It then took another five years for Sanju to play his next match for India, in 2020. And the same story continued. Just one or two opportunities a year, often at different batting positions, while being consistently overlooked for ICC tournaments and other multinational tournaments. When India needed a T20 World Cup squad, he was given opportunities in ODIs. When the ODI World Cup approached, he was given opportunities in T20Is. His career was constantly disrupted by a lack of continuity and clarity over his role. After all those years, Sanju was finally selected for an ICC tournament for the first time in his 10 year international career in 2024. But despite delivering his best IPL season that year, he had to sit on the bench throughout the entire T20 World Cup. Then Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli retired from T20Is, and Gautam Gambhir and Suryakumar Yadav took charge as coach and captain, respectively. This was when Sanju Samson was finally promoted to the opening position. Before Gambhir took over, Sanju had never been given more than three consecutive matches for India in the same format. But under Gambhir, he scored his maiden T20I century when he played 5 consecutive matches for India for the first time in his career and it came against Bangladesh. He then scored two more centuries against South Africa in the following series, becoming the first and only batter to score three T20I centuries in a calendar year. 🔥 And yet, he was pushed back into the middle order, forced to bat at No. 5 during the 2025 Asia Cup. Despite that, he finished among India's top three run-scorers in the tournament. Just before the 2026 T20 World Cup, Sanju was again selected as opener. But he was again benched for the World Cup initially but later he came back as opener and the rest is history 🥇 In the first ICC tournament of his career, Sanju Samson became the Player of the Tournament and helped India win the World Cup. 🏆🇮🇳 It took Sanju Samson almost 11 years to establish himself in the Indian team. For years, he was forced to bat out of position, denied a consistent run of matches, and made to sit on the bench while his seniors were preferred over him rightfully. But he never complained and never posted anything on social medias for attention he just kept continuing to do what he always does and he never gave up 💪🏻 Sanju was benched for his seniors and now, when he has finally established himself as an opener and proved what he can do with a consistent role, a new narrative is being built around asking him to make way for youngsters, with people arguing that he is getting old and that it's time to move on from Sanju. He has 56 average in ODIs and scored century in his last match for India in South Africa but never again was picked in the ODI squad and it’s been 3 years 💔 Everyone gets their time. Everyone has their own journey. And this is Sanju Samson's time. 💙🇮🇳 Sanju Samson story is one of the best inspiring motivational story for all the youngsters out there 🙌

I just sat in quite an unbelievable meeting with the President of India. We presented our memorandum to her outlining PM Modi and HM Amit Shah’s gross subversion of India’s electoral system and seeking CEC Gyanesh Kumar’s resignation. I was shocked that the President did not deny Vote Chori. Instead, she asked us to bring her proof. We will bring her a mountain of it. The INDIA bloc will gladly submit every piece of evidence before her. We welcome her assurance that she will examine the matter and take action.

To my generation, There comes a moment in the life of every generation when it must choose between comfort and conscience. For us, that moment has come again. In July, we stepped out onto the streets and a union minister resigned. We have done this before. In 1942, the British arrested the leaders before dawn, believing a movement dies when its leaders are taken. It did not. The young carried it forward and ended the Raj. Today, Modi-Shah's playbook is the same: close the roads, call it illegal, detain people before they speak. So our answer will be the same as the young of 1942. If any of us is stopped tomorrow, the one standing beside us carries it on. If that one is stopped, the next does. This movement belongs to every one of us. Years from now, someone will ask what we did on the 10th of October, when the trains stopped, the roads were sealed and a nation was told to stay silent. Let our answer be one we are proud to give. See you tomorrow. Jantar Mantar 2.0 continues.

Rahul Gandhi deserves credit for raising uncomfortable questions long before they became fashionable. From the autonomy of educational institutions to the independence of the Election Commission and other constitutional bodies, he kept speaking even when much of the Opposition was fragmented or unwilling to make these issues central. He was questioning the politicisation of educational institutions in 2015 and raising concerns about the Election Commission and institutional independence by 2018. Today, many of those concerns have become rallying points for a much broader opposition movement. Whatever the political cost, he stayed with the issues he believed mattered. That persistence deserves acknowledgement & appreciation.

The vote is the foundation of Indian democracy. From the vote flows the power of our Constitution, the authority of our laws, and the legitimacy of our public institutions - this chain defines modern India. Today this chain is broken, and this has never happened in India before. By destroying the vote, this government and the Election Commission have attacked the expression of every single Indian. Everything this government has done on the strength of stolen votes is illegal. An MP elected through vote chori holds an illegitimate seat, and every law passed with that MP's support is an illegitimate law.

The video from Jamui, Bihar is deeply disturbing. Two Class 10 students were stopped on a road. Harassed. Humiliated. Molested. A young girl, hands folded, begged to be let go while goons groped her and dragged her away. Who gave these men the right to behave like this? This is not "culture." It is patriarchy: the belief that any man can police a girl's body, her movement, her choices. When control is mistaken for culture, and such attitudes are normalised by Andhbhakts, mobs start believing they are the law. Every individual in that video must be identified and prosecuted under POCSO, and justice must be swift. And if the incident happened on September 19th, why are the culprits not behind bars yet? And the Bihar government must answer why a girl is not safe on a public road at 7 pm?
