Last day of home Derbyshire cricket, for 2026. I'm not sure where the time has gone. It doesn't seem that long since April 3rd.

A decent day of cricket, that had a bit of everything. It was certainly gloomy at 10-30, but ended with some early autumn sunshine. A top innings by Martin Andersson, in testing circumstances.

Warm and dry for the football. We won't mention the cricket.

It's only now that I realise how ridiculous 59 days between county championship fixtures is. I can watch as much white ball cricket as they feed me, but it's just not the same.
