I have the pleasure of working with @kaamosgame team, and today we announced a release date - April 28! It looks simple, but it's much more in-depth than it appears. I think you'll like it. Press/creators - shoot me a DM👀 Everyone else, go wishlist it! bit.ly/Kaamos_Steam

The game community in shambles, throwing tantrums and melting down because an indie hacker built a $100k/mo game in a week is worth of studying. People are now realizing that someone with agency and the guts of putting something out there is out-earning decades of technical experience and studies. We are watching live the cognitive dissonance and disbelief that happens when people too high on their own supply realize that AI has changed the rules.

I really don’t think people quite grasp just how much more well read highly educated people used to be in the past.

I find it interesting how changing character controllers and camera perspectives instantly change a games feel and skill cap. I started with a 3rd person over the shoulder but as soon as combat was possible it became clear this was the wrong choice.

Not calling anyone out in particular but is everyone just going to pretend like this isn't encompassed by walls of plastic?

The longer I've been out of webdev the more thankful I become.
You see this in a code review, what do you do?

The accounting girls were in tears after calling them, the bank legally couldn't say why the were doing what they were doing. Check into cash, and ammo stores were also targets. Basically the bank would be told "You have 5 of these accounts, you will can only have 1 now." /3

This whole de-banking thing is real. I worked at a bank after the 2008 crash when operation choke point got started. I had to perform the queries to find the businesses which met the requirements. /1

For example there were 3 local tobacco stores in the area and I basically watched as the bank flipped a coin to decide which one stayed in business and which of the other ones they shut off. /2
