We’re excited to share that Pixxel has raised $100M in Series C funding, led by @Temasek and @seraphim_space, to build the infrastructure for a changing planet. 🌏
Seven years ago, we started @PixxelSpace with the belief that seeing Earth differently could help us make better decisions for it through our fleet of hyperspectral satellites. Today, that ambition is growing into something much larger.
This funding will accelerate our expansion into new sensing technologies, more powerful Earth intelligence software, and robust sovereign space systems as we build planetary infrastructure for what comes next.
A new chapter for Pixxel, and we’re just getting started! 🚀
Excited to be on this journey @tejpaul and the @NebraExchange team!
Today @NebraExchange announced a $30M seed round to build the commercial rails for the global space economy, led by @GVteam and @EniacVC, with a @jpmorgan banking relationship.

GATE Space (Techstars 2023), a Vienna-based satellite propulsion company, has secured €6.3M in grants and equity funding through the European Innovation Council (EIC) Accelerator. 🛰️
Founded by Moritz Novak, Clemens Weisgram, Alexander Sebo, and Taras Weinl, GATE Space builds chemical propulsion systems that allow satellites to maneuver once in orbit — adjusting position, avoiding debris, docking with other spacecraft, and safely deorbiting.
The company's flagship product, the GATE Jetpack, is a plug-and-play propulsion unit designed for ESPA-class satellites weighing between 50 and 500 kilograms.
"This funding is an extraordinary validation of our technology, our team, and our vision. It enables us to significantly accelerate our growth strategy and further strengthen our position as a leading provider of mobility and infrastructure solutions in space." — Moritz Novak, CEO
The new capital will help industrialize GATE Space's propulsion technology and scale production for two key missions: BeaconSat, Austria's first military satellite, launching in February 2027, and ASTRAL, Europe's first in-orbit refueling and autonomous docking mission, targeted for 2028.
Congratulations to the entire GATE Space team on this incredible milestone!

Nuclear batteries like the ones @zeno_power is making store hundreds of times more energy per kg than chemical batteries
They just announced their taking over the first commercial nuclear license the AEC ever commissioned in 1957
Right next to Silicon Valley - heres why 🧵

Beginning today, we are industrializing nuclear battery production at the historic Vallecitos Nuclear Center.
With this facility, we will deliver our first nuclear battery to customers in 2027 and scale production in 2028 - powering critical missions from the seabed to the lunar surface.

Not every mission needs a megawatt.
Nuclear batteries will power the next frontier – beginning in 2027.

We’re excited to announce that we’ve been awarded a contract by the U.S. National Reconnaissance Office (@nro_gov) under the Strategic Commercial Enhancements Commercial Solutions Opening.
Using our on-orbit Firefly constellation, we will demonstrate how hyperspectral imagery can provide spectral insight into materials, conditions, and activities that conventional imaging cannot reveal. ✨

"Khamenei out as Supreme Leader of Iran by…"
With US and Israeli strikes now underway, three prediction sources are pricing the probability of regime change. One was ahead of the other two.
———
🔵 Kalshi (human-traded, by Sep 1): Flat at ~48-50 all week. Spikes to 64 on the strikes.
⚪ Polymarket (human-traded, by Dec 31): Flat at ~48-50 all week. Spikes to 74 on the strikes.
🔴 Vico (AI-powered, by Dec 31): Steady climb from ~65 to 78.5 over 10 days — pricing in the escalation before most humans were trading it.

The human-traded markets sat still while diplomacy played out. Vico's AI models were reading the buildup — carrier deployments, military surges, failed talks — and adjusting daily.
In this instance, the crowd moved on the headline and the AI moved on the signal.

Catalyx Space (Techstars 2024), a space infrastructure company providing turnkey solutions for orbital missions, raised $5.4M. 🪐
The new funds will support the commercialization of its reentry architecture, the expansion of overseas operations, and global customer growth.
Founded in 2024 by Rifath Shaarook and Saqib Hussain, Catalyx was born out of his frustration with the slow, fragmented infrastructure of the space industry. The company’s mission is to make orbital access rapid, reliable, and affordable for sectors like defense, advanced manufacturing, and biopharma.
