Since October 2023, we have gradually lost two thirds of our funding because we uncompromisingly condemned the genocide in Gaza and the West Bank.

Kohl is a feminist journal that publishes in Arabic and English & is on the cutting edge of feminist and queer knowledge production and activism. They have lost their funding because of their expected, anticolonial stance on Palestine. It is in danger of going under. Donate here

We therefore ask you, for the first time since our inception, to donate to Kohl and stand with autonomous, anticolonial publishing from the South, so that our political work and knowledge can be preserved.
We hope that this campaign will plant a seed so we might collectively think about new means of circulation of resources with like-minded accomplices around the world.
