The Brackeen case is a really really big deal and going to get positively drowned out in midterms election coverage so do yourself a favor and read this thread
On Wednesday, the Supreme Court is set to hear oral arguments in a challenge to a 44-year-old law that prioritizes placing Native American children in Native American homes. The case is called Brackeen v. Haaland and the law at issue is the Indian Child Welfare Act (ICWA).

I already get too many PR emails, so if you can't even bother to spell my name correctly, I'm DEFINITELY not considering yours.

We have no proven therapy yet for #LongCovid. But there are more than 25 randomized trials in progress, at various stages. An outstanding feature @Nature by @heidiledford nature.com/articles/d41586-0…

The president tested negative today and will isolate for another day pending a 2nd negative test. This is actually not CDC guidance, but really should be.

This article is making the rounds. Sounds scary, right? Constant reinfections and no immunity! Plague doctor! Forever plague!!! Too bad it is almost entirely poorly sourced, grossly misinterpreted, hyperbolic bullshit.

Do you really need to report a +ve Covid home test in addition to isolating, taking time off work and doing a bajillion other things? No. But you'll help others assess their risk and more accurate case counts will help future you too. Here's how to do it: nytimes.com/2022/06/04/well/…
Be concerned without being panicked. You need to be aware of the spread of monkeypox, what its rash looks like, and how severe (or mild) it may be in order to isolate and stop transmission. @angie_rasmussen @DrEllenCarlin & Dr. Luis Sigal provide answers nytimes.com/article/monkeypo…

Have you tried reporting your positive home Covid test result through your test's mobile app, by calling your doctor or directly informing your local health department? Curious to know what worked/didn't work and what was the most difficult part of the process

Here's how one COVID expert is weighing personal risk and which activities are okay. A helpful thread...
I’ve been gratified hearing from many people who have said that they’ve followed my lead in deciding what they'll do, and not do, in various stages of the pandemic. It’s a particularly confusing time now, so today’s 🧵 is a summary of the choices I'm making these days. (1/25)

I thought this pandemic would be like the movie Contagion. But it’s really just like Dumb and Dumber.
