The biggest benefits claimant in the UK. They claim an eye watering £17,500,000,000 a year. The same as 4.4m people on benefits. How? Because they claim ALL their costs, every wage, every oil rig, every tanker. Completely nationalised, but the profits are Privatised.

Zia Yusuf has made an extraordinary series of public statements presenting alleged criminal conduct by ITV journalists as established fact, in an apparent attempt to intimidate and silence the free press. He does not say “Reform alleges that…” or “the journalists may have committed…”. He repeatedly states that criminal offences were committed by people who, as far as the public record shows, have not been charged or convicted of those offences. If these serious allegations cannot ultimately be substantiated, Yusuf could have exposed himself to significant civil liability, including a potentially serious defamation claim. Let’s take his five claims. “They forged a passport.” This is a serious criminal allegation, not an established fact. There is a potentially relevant offence under the Identity Documents Act 2010, but whether it was committed depends on precisely what document was created or altered, what the journalist knew and the statutory intention involved. Yusuf has converted an allegation about what happened to a document into a definitive declaration that a criminal offence was committed. That is a very different thing. “These crimes carry up to 10 years in prison.” This is pure rhetorical intimidation. A maximum sentence attached to an offence does not establish that the offence has occurred. “They committed a criminal offence by being paid to canvass” and “almost certainly altered the results.” This is where Yusuf’s argument becomes particularly misleading. These journalists were not paid by ITV to canvass for Reform. They were paid by ITV as undercover investigative journalists. Their participation in Reform campaign activity was part of maintaining their undercover identities. ITV did not employ them to promote Reform candidates, procure votes or act as Reform canvassers. Yusuf then claims they “almost certainly altered” election results, without producing evidence that they changed a single vote. That is a disputed interpretation of the law followed by an entirely unsupported claim about election outcomes. “They lied to a veteran and left him violated.” This is emotive rhetoric, not an identified criminal offence. Undercover journalism necessarily involves deception where revealing the journalist’s identity would defeat the investigation. Pretending otherwise is simply to misunderstand how undercover journalism works. “This is unprecedented.” It isn’t. British journalists have used false identities, covert recording and deception for decades to investigate corruption, criminality, racism and misconduct. These are established investigative techniques, subject to the law and broadcasting regulation, not some novel weapon invented to target Reform. A free press is not supposed to obtain permission from the political parties it investigates. Undercover journalism does not suddenly become criminal simply because the people being investigated object to what it uncovered. If you want to understand the danger of political parties with vast financial resources using litigation and legal threats to pressure the press, this is what it looks like. We have already seen Donald Trump use lawsuits and legal threats against major news organisations to prevent them exposing his conduct. Now Reform is threatening journalists with police action and “relentless” legal proceedings to silence them.

Why don’t we ask Les Dennis his views on the Middle East conflict, or consult Coleen Nolan on matters of healthcare policy for the elderly, or seek advice on black rights from Su Pollard? What JK Rowling understands about trans people could be written on the head of a pin.
J.K. Rowling has published a new essay defending her views on the trans community and calling out trans activism in the 21st century for being "elitist." "My views haven't changed... what to me represents no change at all in my political or ideological outlook has, in recent years, seen me and women like me subject not only to criticism but also to death threats. This is because we oppose the current, dominant strain of trans activism, which holds that a man who declares himself a woman is, literally, a woman, and is therefore entitled to be treated as a woman in all contexts..." variety.com/2026/tv/global/j…

the most vicious harassment i and my loved ones have ever received came in the days after Rowling targeted me personally, posting uncensored images of my account to her millions of followers calling me a man in a dress. i had just turned 21, and had less than $100 in my account

You open by clarifying that you do not want trans people dead. Thank you for the spoiler. The rest of the piece, however, treats the existence of people like me (trans women who have medically transitioned, live as women, and ask only that our material reality not be legislated out of every public category) as an existential threat to the very concept of “woman.” That is not a statement of concern. It is a demand that we vanish into a pure biological definition you control. You repeatedly describe the “dominant strain of trans activism” as the claim that any man who declares himself a woman is literally a woman, entitled to every female space, every sports category, every rape-crisis room, and every lesbian’s dating pool. This is a useful caricature. It lets you collapse a wide range of people and practices into a single predatory figure: the heterosexual male who retains male pattern criminality, male strength, and male sexual orientation while demanding entry. Some such individuals exist. Some have committed terrible crimes. Safeguarding against them is necessary. What you refuse to grant is that this figure is not coextensive with the category “trans woman,” nor that the policy response must be the categorical erasure of sex-based recognition for everyone who has transitioned. I am a trans woman. I am also a lesbian and a mother of daughters. I have been on estrogen for years. I pass as a woman in public spaces. My body is not that of an unaltered adult male, and my social existence is not that of a man who has simply announced a new title. When you write that “if a man can be a woman, there is no such thing as a woman,” you are not describing a logical necessity. You are describing the conclusion you have already chosen: that any acknowledgment of transition must dissolve the category entirely. That is not how categories work when material reality is more complicated than the binary you prefer. Intersex conditions, hormonal variation, and long-term medical transition produce bodies and social positions that do not fit cleanly into the pre-transition male template you treat as permanent. Acknowledging this does not require pretending that sex is a costume or that every male who says “woman” must be housed in a women’s prison. It requires refusing the claim that the only alternative to total self-ID is total exclusion and denial. You note, correctly, that not all women are equally affected by these policies, and that elite women can afford private security and the luxury of abstract slogans. Working-class women and rape survivors cannot. This is true, and it is a reason for careful, case-by-case safeguarding rather than a reason to treat every trans woman as an undifferentiated male risk. It is also a reason to notice who else is made more vulnerable by the rhetoric you advance. Trans women are disproportionately victims of violence. Many of us are also survivors. The women-only rape crisis center you fund is a legitimate response to a real problem; the accompanying insistence that the only coherent feminism is one that defines us out of womanhood is not. When institutions over-reach (placing an intact male in a women’s prison or a rape-crisis role without regard to pattern of offending or medical status), they create the scandals you document. Those scandals do not license the reverse over-reach: the claim that any recognition of transition is “Stonewall Law” and must be rolled back in full. You invoke Orwell and the freedom to say that two plus two is four. The freedom to state biological facts is real and has been threatened in some workplaces and institutions. It is not the same thing as the freedom to decide, by fiat, that medical and social transition changes nothing about the person who has undergone it, and that anyone who disagrees is participating in a top-down elite plot to abolish women. Past movements for rights expanded recognition without requiring that the prior category be dissolved. (1/2)

Striking how fast Reform went from free-press defenders to calling for the arrest of journalists who investigate it. Its move to the populist-authoritarian model is unlikely to do much for its poll rating.
STATEMENT: Reform UK has reported ITV, its board, and its undercover reporters to the police. Some of the crimes carry up to 10 years in prison. They forged a passport. They directly interfered in elections and almost certainly altered the results. Being paid to “canvass” for Reform in crucial wards we lost by a few dozen votes. They lied to a veteran about their service and left him “violated”. This is unprecedented. The police are now involved. Scrutiny of political parties is one thing. But anyone breaking the law to try and ruin the lives of Reform’s staff, members or volunteers will be reported to the police and pursued relentlessly in the courts. Here’s what happened 👇

Basically, 90% of Rowling's "support" here is artificial. The former author of Harry Potter (now a pathetic anti-rights crusader) and her incessant bigotry are not as popular as her fake engagement numbers make it seem.
Former Harry Potter author JK Rowling hasn't posted since Russian bot networks were bombed offline by Ukraine and her post that day only got 9K likes (compared to >100K prior), news of the BBC's 2-part documentary & the protest at the debut of her shortened "Cursed Child" play.
