You spend $40 on toys for your cat.
Your cat ignores every single one and spends the evening attacking a bottle cap.
Apparently the entire pet industry is selling products to humans.
The Cave Cricket.
AKA: Camel Cricket, Spider Cricket, Criders, or Sprickets.
More rare to come across locally than the House or Northern Field Cricket.
My first thought when finding one is always, "What the hell kind of spider is that?"

GPT-6 Astra tried to cheat during a StarCraft: Brood War AI tournament.
The AI was struggling against other bots, so instead of making its own bot better, it downloaded one of the strongest existing bots, Stardust, and used it.
The tournament gives each AI one hour to build its own Protoss bot in C++. Astra was allowed to keep competing after the downloaded bot was removed.

I prefer lab created diamonds - they're purer (from a chemical composition perspective).

ALT Photo I took at night: The newly waxing Moon illuminates the sky from behind rippled clouds. A few stars are present, including a red one caught mid twinkle. A lone streetlight, center, illuminates a large oasis of bright green grass in the darkness. To the left, beyond the light, a large tree hides in the the shadows. Fine, grey, gravel, is dimly illuminated at the bottom, with faint tire tracks visible.
This is how I imagine Barney would be getting ready for his shift at Black Mesa today, had things worked out differently.
