ALT How will this affect me? BILLS - RUUPIN may set targets for renewable energy, affecting your electricity bills and available appliances. TRANSPORT - The act may introduce new policies to reduce emissions from transportation, influencing public transport and vehicle choices. STATE REGULATIONS - Your state government will be involved in climate actions, which could lead to new local regulations affecting your choices and costs. JOBS - The act aims to transform Malaysia into a low-carbon economy, raising questions about jobs in carbon-intensive industries.
ALT How will this affect me? CLIMATE DISASTERS - Floods & Heatwaves RUUPIN aims to strengthen Malaysia's resilience to climate change impacts, affecting disaster management and adaptation efforts. Will it lead to better protection for affected communities, or will some be left behind? Will future development projects incorporate climate resilience and risk elements? This affects everyone’s safety, homes, and livelihoods.
