Hi everyone! @YongYi_VT ! This is my first time writing my own copy! I am a bit shy, so I hardly announce myself, but, if you have reached out to customer service in 2026 and “Vite Ramen Team” replied, hi that was me :D I first met Tim in 2024 after I SKILLFULLY negotiated to get a bunch of merch at a convention, where we joke that I “robbed” him. I have been around Vite for a while now in many different roles. First as a partner talent and fun recipe writer, then joined Vite as customer service, and now I’m managing some marketing campaigns! Like Tim, I am also Chinese-American! Some of my passions are tea and hanfu, a historical Chinese clothing, and now I get to share that with the Vite community! In Chinese, names can be like a wish that gives a person or item meaning and purpose. This being the first campaign I’m leading, I really wanted to make this extra special, and so I named these teas “Cui Yue Guang Xia” and “Tian Xing Huo Hua”. My first time ever having lapsang, one of our teas, was at family dimsum. When the wait staff would ask “what kind of tea would you like”, my uncle would say “just a pot of hot water please”. He had a little stash of fancy chinese teas he’d bring and put into the pot himself, instead of tea the restaurant had. One time, he brought a tea I’ve never tried before, and it was so good that I begged him to give me a bit to take home. At home, I did the thing AuADHD do, and did some research. Luckily, I didn’t end up getting stuck too deep in that rabbit hole, but Lapsangs have been one of my favorite teas since. I named our Lapsang Tian Xing Huo Hua, loosely meaning “celestial sparks”, though the english name is Celestial Embers for its smokiness, because, the character for embers and ash are very inauspicious and I didn’t want to jinx my first campaign ever. I think that this tea feels a bit like stargazing - it’s not for everyone, but those who like it can appreciate its qualities. Cui Yue Guang Xia, our milk oolong, loosely meaning “under the jade moon light”. Jade is a beautiful semi precious stone that comes in many color combinations like green and white - colors that resemble milk oolong. My wish for this tea is that people take the time to enjoy it by themselves, or share it with others under the moonlight. This tea was perfect for the mid autumn festival/moon festival because milk oolong goes perfectly with mooncakes - a pastry traditionally enjoyed during the mid autumn festival. I am so excited to share these two teas with y’all! I have so much cool stuff to share! Please look forward to a new animation that our 3d animator worked so hard on the week after launch, and for our new teas that I carefully chose! And, ready to show your support so I can prove to Tim that I did good for my first campaign!! -YongYi Sign up here for tea: viteramen.com/pages/tea-sign…
