I spent 2.5 years racking up 2+ million views teaching design systems & UX design on YouTube. Now bringing that same energy to X.

if steve jobs saw you reserving 15% screen width for a single icon and then putting a left side arrow back button on the unreachable right side of the screen he would've personally taken you behind a dumpster and beat you with a metal pipe
Obsessed with checking the new @humblytics dashboard btw. I encourage everyone to switch from Google Analytics to Humblytics
The evolution of the design portfolio:
2016: Fake apps with real effort
2026: Real apps with no effort
You can be the designer who pushes back, or the designer who gets invited to lunch with the executive.
Can't be both.
Me in 2022: "I'll learn AI when it's actually good."
Me in 2026: maintaining 14 Claude skills and paying for 5 different AI tools, all so I never have to open Figma
Every design critique has the same 3 people:
The one who says "from a user's perspective"
The one who saw it done better at Google
The one who just wants it bigger

The year is 2021.
You design everything by hand, alongside your coworkers.
Keeping up means learning a few new Figma features once a year.
Life is good.
Anyone else have a non-technical executive who won’t shut up about generative AI but still needs help sharing their screen?
Figma is where “we trust your expertise” turns into 12 people telling you to make the button bigger.
In 2023, when Figma Variables launched, I thought the learning curve was crazy.
Now I take a weekend off and come back to three new AI tools, a new workflow, and a thread explaining why my job no longer exists.
Variables, I owe you an apology.
Anyone else get told by developers that AI can replace designers, then get asked for a Figma mockup showing what a disabled button should look like?

A founder once told me he had a $7 million sales pipeline. Turns out, it was a list of people he hadn’t contacted yet.
That company no longer exists.
When a senior tech leader has nothing useful to say, it’s always:
“We need to mature our product development process.”
Designers seem more interested in figuring out how to get AI to do the work than actually doing the work.
Apple’s most annoying UX: automatically trying to connect to Wi-Fi networks I don’t have the password for, then cutting off my music in the process.
Get up to speed on @figma’s new Design System Guidelines.
A practical crash course on setting them up, what to include, and the details worth getting right.
