A great evening with the @LaunchAfricaVC team. Despite the global economic volatility, there are exciting times ahead for the African start-up ecosystem and these chaps are leading the charge! @zach_cpt, Janade Du Plessis and @TshidiHagan

Venture Capital ‘Backable’? 💡
I’ve reviewed over 3000 African startup pitch decks in the last 4 years. The most important question I ask myself each time is.. ⬇
‘Is this startup VC ‘backable’?’ A thread 🧵

In 10 years of venture I helped in over 250 pre-seed, lots of seeds and also Series A, B, and C funding rounds.
Founders that prepared & had a strategy at pre-seed raised A LOT FASTER and WITH BETTER TERMS.
Here are MATERIALS and STRATEGIES of the best founders.
Let's go! 🧵👇

Few nuggets from the gif-populated session I did at #IncludedVCLive on the first yrs in #vc. 🙏 Enjoyed my career talk, co-chaired w/ @ChrisTottman1 and
@oscarfarres, and so did fellows - been asked to run it twice due to high demand 🤓.
2 amazing sessions from @zach_cpt of @LaunchAfricaVC at @INCLUDED_VC LIVE summit in Barcelona. His passion for the African tech ecosystem as an engine for positive change is inspiring and it's no surprise he's the most active investor in Africa. #IncludedVCLIVE #VentureCapital
