This Saturday in Uyo was NOT for the weak — we sweated, we burned, we danced, no dulling! 💦
I’d say this is personal experience, of Philip was alive and he told you he outran a chariot, you’d think it was a lie.
Or Jacob told you he fought an angel.
Or Peter told you he walked on water.
I’d say we leave people with their convictions after all they’re servants of God.

Are people really trying to use ethnicity to gaslight an educated people into voting for Tinubu’s second term?
Please do better. Try convincing people with actual proof of how Jagaban and the APC have addressed existential issues such as:
1. Out-of-school children
2. Insecurity
3. Unemployment
4. Poverty
5. Maternal and child mortality
6. Electricity
If you just want to vote along tribal lines, the APM and SDP have far more competent Yoruba candidates like Makinde and Adebayo. By any standard for a developing country, Tinubu has been a colossal failure.

President Tinubu said other leaders didn’t treat the cancer.
When Jonathan tried removing subsidy and treating the cancer with a better plan
He called Jonathan names
President Tinubu allies later said it was all politics.
So they stopped a policy and did occupy Nigeria because of politics

When PDP was “destroying Nigeria”:
- Fuel: ₦87
- Gas: ₦150
- Rice: ₦8,000/bag
- Dollar: ₦190
Today, under the government “fixing Nigeria and Renewed Hope”:
- Fuel: ~₦1,400
- Gas: ~₦2,000
- Rice: ~₦65,000/bag
- Dollar: ~₦1,400
You can make whatever choice you want.

Insecurity was enough to kick Jonathan out. The rules cannot be different because BAT is a Yoruba man. On every other metric, GEJ was 10x better than BAT.
This is not an invitation to a debate. If you don’t agree that’s your problem. I’m not trying to convince you.
Ashe Ighodalo and Olumide Akpata cannot lace Hamzat’s shoes? Stop it please.
Replying to @Wizarab10
The 2 legal luminaries you’re talking about can’t lace Femi HAMZAT’s shoe.
You deliberately left out Femi HAMZAT’s name as if he’ll not be on the ballot and YES he’s a better and more capable candidate compared to Doherty and GRV
Protecting Every Vote. Winning 2027. Together.
My fellow Nigerians at home and abroad,
Over the past months, wherever I go and in your many messages, two questions keep coming up: How will our votes be protected in 2027? And how will we win?
These are fair questions, and you deserve direct answers.
This Sunday, I will answer you directly, and more importantly, listen to you. I will join you for A New Nigeria Global Digital Townhall. We will speak plainly about protecting every vote and the path to victory.
But this is not only about speaking to you. It is about listening to you. I want to hear your concerns, your insights and your strategies. This movement has always been built by you, and your ideas will shape what we do next.

I want to say a big thank you to the organizers of The Platform Nigeria's Gen Z town hall yesterday. I also thank the young lagosians who sacrificed their public holiday to be there and the candidates who came and showed respect to our young Lagosians, the lifeblood of this city.
As I told the young people in the hall: you are the biggest part of Lagos today. You are Lagos and Lagos is you.
Every society is built on a social contract that should be sacred. The people work, contribute to society, pay taxes and are law-abiding, and government, on its part acts for the good of everyone. The question is: if a government does not keep its side of the bargain, what are you willing to do about it?
Positive change is possible, but it starts with you. As you evaluate alternatives, you should interrogate ideas and consider the capacity and courage of candidates to deliver. Examine track records. What have they done before? At what scale? Who can vouch for them?
Then come out for what you believe in.
Next week, we will release details of our manifesto: specifics that we commit to deliver, how we will deliver it, and a scorecard to hold us accountable.
Sign up at funsodoherty.org to see it, and to volunteer and canvass. If every one of you brings five people, we will change Lagos.
As we travel across the state, our message is simple: it's time for a new way for Lagos.
Ó ti yá; ọ̀nà tuntun yá.

Lagos Children Must Be In School Or Learning A Trade — Hamzat
The first thing I will do as governor is establish a Child Welfare Administration Agency. Children should not be roaming the streets; they should either be in school or learning a trade. With open borders allowing people to enter the state, we may not be able to stop everyone from coming in, but we can regulate how they live. Child welfare will come first, followed by a state wealth fund. The state’s resources will be managed to ensure the next generation does not suffer.

Dear Lagosians, This is my promise to you.
I will never in any language tell you to live in your parents house as an answer to the expensive rents and housing deficit.
Instead we will work tirelessly to deliver a 100,000 units of housing that are not only accessible but truly affordable.
Enact laws that protect tenants and create an agency to investigate and enforce said laws.
I will never in any language tell you that Traffic is a lifestyle.
Instead we will deliver the entire rail network in 2years by opening the project to private sector procurement. Our focus will not be how to pad or steal money it would be on making movement in lagos more effective and affordable.
I will never in any language tell you that we do not know or understand how much waste is being generated in Lagos state, neither will we tell you to go back to you village when you complain about the state of the enviroment .
We will rid the waste management system of the corruption and racketeering that has left lagos covered in filth. We will create a waste to energy and waste to wealth value chain. We will build out proper sewage processing facilities and empower local governments to participate in waste management.
Lastly under no circumstance will any public official boast about expensive watches whilst so many struggle in poverty.
My promise to you is high impact governance, actions you will feel, because Actions speak far louder than words.

Dear Tokunbo Wahab,
You are so full of lengthy explanations, with little by way of solutions.
Plenty of prose, very little results. I can offer you some small clues as to why there is so much flooding in Lagos State.
1. It might not be obvious to you and your principals, but most Lagosians and even foreigners can see it clear as day - REFUSE! GARBAGE! WASTE!
If you're not packing the refuse, it will stack up and be washed into the drainage by the rain. Citizens don't even have to dump their refuse in the drains. The rain will do it for them.
2. Roads and Drains: Do you have any idea how many roads (and therefore the accompanying drains) that Lagos State has per km² of land? I checked. It's 1.3km of roads (much of them in various states of disrepair), per km² of land.
Singapore has 13.6km of roads (and therefore, drains) per km² of land.
In case you're wondering what this has to do with flooding - more drains means less water on the road surfaces.
Solutions:
1. Clear the existing drains and main drainage channels of waste.
2. Build more roads and drains - it is clear ALL OVER LAGOS, that we lack enough roads. Many main roads are congested unnecessarily because the communities they traverse are not connected by alternative roads.
3. Build boardwalks (embankments) on all of the lagoon and river shorelines, and use sluice gates and high-powered water pumps to regulate water levels inland of the gates
I am merely putting out this information because these are just some of the pragmatic, practical measures @GRVlagos and I will implement to alleviate the perennial flooding problem.
27 years of incompetence have shown us that your APC government is completely and unarguably incapable of implementing these simple measures.
If we all work together with @GRVlagos, we can Make Èkó Great Again.

On flooding, Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour’s criticism must be viewed against the realities of Lagos’ coastal geography, tidal locks and the growing impact of climate change. As an architect, he should appreciate that even the most resilient drainage infrastructure cannot entirely eliminate flash flooding in a coastal megacity.
The Lagos State Government has invested in drainage infrastructure, pump stations, year-round maintenance, flood abatement operations, ban on styrofoam and single-use plastics, wetland preservation and the removal of structures on floodplains. Many of which Gbadebo criticized and attacked the government for. These interventions have reportedly reduced flooding incidents by 75–80% statewide.
It is therefore misleading to suggest that flooding is being ignored or that no meaningful progress has been made. While challenges remain, the evidence of sustained interventions must form part of the conversation.
Flooding is a global coastal challenge, not one peculiar to Lagos. Amsterdam, Thailand, Nepal, Afghanistan (despite having a dry land), even the almighty USA. The relevant question is not whether every flood can be prevented, but how effectively a city prepares, mitigates risks and protects it’s residents.
Criticism should be informed by geography, climate realities and the progress already recorded, not political rhetoric.
