A quick update for seal holders and enjoyoors. So first things first; Sappy Seals will be one of the biggest and most beloved brands in the world. Not just because the sappy face is cute, but because it's authentic and embodies a movement that people relate to and want to be a part of. How we get there is a combination of many efforts that cause a large movement within both the web3 echo chamber and web2. I consider the web3-specific side of the brand as the foundation for everything. There are 2 important factors for this base: • The ability for holders to generate profit by growing the brand (alignment) • The brand is sufficiently decentralized (resilience and scale) What we're wanting to do is focus on growing these subcommunities and then further enabling them. We already have so many, but they're a little scattered and mostly just serve as Twitter group chats — some have started organized discord server efforts. They can become something more, and enable people that want to support the brand and grow alongside it e.g. @SappyShrooms could sell shroom trait merch/toys/products that would have some support by the team (like having their merchandise hosted or hyperlinked within the official seal's site). This of course means IP rights are coming after the website update, and will be granted with intention. I will probably write a substack article on the topic of decentralizing the brand soon for a deeper insight into the thesis and strategy. On the topic of the seal's site, what's mostly left in development is the staking page and some small landing page amendments. Taking a bit longer than expected, but will be worth it. We're also working with a technical partner to deliver an extra suite of tools that will enable the community a lot more. Tools like the aggregation of subcommunities, collector profiles, and more. When it comes to the web2 front, we will be deploying our strategy shortly to grow through traditional social media platforms. It will require some experimentation but I expect us to grow relatively quickly here. Toys, collectibles, and more are coming too. We're working to make Sappy Seals a brand that's loved globally. What some people often overlook is that our gaming ventures will allow us to reach into markets and massive audiences that we otherwise would not be able to tap into. This is all part of web2 growth - maturing the IP and delivering great experiences to the masses that create positive associations toward the brand. Relaunching Pixlverse/Pets will be extremely important in creating that initial shockwave of attention and momentum on this front to begin community building and marketing at a larger scale. We will be running another wave of alpha tests and posting a dev blog shortly after (dev blogs will continue like in the past). A fireside chat will follow — we'll be scheduling chats with the community a little more frequently. There's a lot more to discuss, but I'll leave that to the next chat 🫡
