But why can't a video where a testator distributes his estate and 2 people also appear in the video as attesting witnesses be considered a valid Will? The Law that requires that a will must be in writing was first enacted in 1837 and still applicable till date.

I am not aware of such a law. Yes, it can be lodged at the probate registry, but you may also instruct your solicitor to retain it, provided he does the needful within a period upon the death of the testator.
Not correct pls. There is not law that prohibits a Lawyer from keeping a copy of a will for a teststor. The Lawyer is expected to lodge it at the probate registry & may decide not to do that but must present it to the Probate Registrar not later than 3 mnths of teststor's death.

I had to first check if you are Nigerian. Under Nigerian law, lawyers don't keep Wills for you. You contract a lawyer to draft a Will for you (or you draft yourself), then deposit it at the Probate Registry in the High Court of the State you want the Will to apply to.

This is not true pls. The position of the DG and the Law Sch which was communicated to all the campuses and the students before the exams on Saturday was that Muslim Female Aspirants are allowed to use their hijabs but it must be of shoulders length.
I even proposed that they use black scarf for exams only or short hijab that the ear can be shown out. I was informed that the DG said no to both. Only skull caps

Dear Nafisat, Law Sch did not prevent students wearing hijabs from writing exams. The position of the Management which was communicated across all the campuses was that Muslim Female Aspirants to the bar were allowed to use their hijabs but it must be at shoulders length...
Why will law school prevent students from wearing hijabs to write exams in Port Harcourt campus? For what reason exactly? No one was caught using the hijab as a cheating tactic. So why would they mandate students to remove their hijabs and use inner caps only? @CLE_NLS

For the students who complied and were still told otherwise, I sincerely apologize and I know Management will look into this. I believe this is a case of overzealous staff and it won't repeat itself for subsequent exams. Thank you.

Lmaooo. Hypocrisy ya were gan.
I really dislike the way Seyi Tinubu is inserting and infusing himself into artistic and cultural spaces, and the way people within those spaces are so willing to accommodate him, give him a pass, and allow him to infiltrate and move as though he is entitled to their platforms

Everyday I understand better why the late Chief Gani had to include in his will that he should be allowed to rest in peace in death after all the battles he had fought while alive.

From time to time I remember the case of the Pastor that was taken to Court by one of his members. The member had given the Church one of his cars to use during a Church event to convey Guest Ministers. Only for his Pastor to refuse to release the car after the event...

After the member took the Pastor to Court and he came to brief my then Principal, he said the member had some it as a seed. My Principal turn asked that even if that was the case and the member is now saying he doesn't want to sow it again, why can't the Pastor just return it...

Pastor no gree ooo. My Principal refused to represent him. Even though we didn't handle the case, I used to go to Court to follow up on the case. Even the Magistrate that handled the case could not believe the type of case that was brought to his Court 🤣🤣🤣
