Diego Maradona remains my GOAT, but I am humble enough to accept that Messi has achieved a lot more than Diego did, even though I still believe that in terms of pure talent, Diego was more gifted and had a bigger mentality. However, Diego lacked discipline, and what we are seeing in Messi is a disciplined version of Diego Maradona. Messi would not have achieved what he has if he had not put everything he had into his game to become successful and has longevity.
